Chapter 2

MELANIE'S P.O.V

So we just arrived home and Connor's expression is "is this really your house?" I responded with "no it's our house now". I went to the door and unlocked it with my thumb print and we quickly registered his finger print and we made sure it worked. He loved the house. We went in to the house and I told him his room which is the second door to the left on the 2nd floor I also told him my room is the 3rd door on the right on the second floor.

So my room is basically right across the hallway. I took him to his room it is pastel green because he liked that color. He quickly put up his clothes and I saw that he didn't have that much clothing so I told him we were going to the mall. I quickly put on a different wig and i put on sunglasses and a hat and I made sure i was well hidden so my fans wouldn't recognize me. I was gonna buy him clothes and since I had an iPhone 7 plus I asked him what type of phone he wanted.

He responded with "I want a phone like yours but in black," so we went and I asked him "do you want matte black or jett black" he said he wanted matte black so i got it for him. Then I took him to Hot Topic which is the only store that I like in the whole mall. So he got 11 shirts and 11 pairs of jeans which included Panic! At The Disco, Twenty One Pilots, and Halsey he wanted to get some of my stuff but I told him I had some for him at home.

Then we went to the Converse store and he got some shoes I really liked them so I got some myself. As we were leaving the store I was surrounded by fans because I took my hat and sunglasses off. Connor was wondering what they were doing. They quickly surrounded him too, they were asking questions like "who are you?" "do you live with Melanie" I told him not to answer any of the questions.

While I knew I was gonna have to explain to him when we got home. After pushing through the crowd of fans and only signing things and taking pictures with like 20 of them I took Connor to the phone case store and he picked out a Crybaby phone case. I signed because he was my son and I liked how he behaved. We left to go home.

CONNOR'S P.O.V.

After we arrived to Melanie's house from the orphanage she told me where my room was at the pastel green like I told her I wanted. I put my clothes up quickly and then she saw that I didn't have lots of clothes. I insisted that she didn't buy me anything but she did.

First we went to some phone shop she asked me what type of phone I wanted she had some type of phone called and iPhone 7 plus and it was in pink. I wanted one like that but in black. She said "there is Jett black and matte black" I knew Jett black was the shiny one I chose matte black. Then we went to a store called "Hot Topic" I saw a types of band merchandise so I decided to get Panic! At The Disco, Twenty One Pilots, and Halsey I wanted to get Melanie shirts but Melanie told me she would give me some of her merch at home. Then I got some jeans, she paid and I felt guilty because it was over $200 and she said that money wasn't a problem.

Then we went to a store called "Converse" that apparently sold shoes. I got like 3 or 4 pairs and she liked a pair and she got them. When she paid and we were leaving the store she took her hat off to re adjust her wig so she also took off her sunglasses and all of a sudden we were surrounded. They were yelling and screaming. They asked me "who are you?" and "do you live with Melanie?" Melanie told me to ignore them so i did.

She signed stuff and took pictures with them, then she took me to a phone case store. I chose a Crybaby phone case then she just happened to be carrying a sharpie with her and so she signed it, I was so happy. Then I remembered that I live with her and she was my guardian. Then we put everything in the car and we left to go home i asked her "how does it feel like to be a celebrity?" and she answered "its horrible and I had to get tinted windows throughout the whole house. Like for example is you see me through the window you can see me but I if you are outside waving at me you won't be able to see you unless if I change the window settings.

But I mean you are going to be home schooled and when its time for me to go on tour you will have to come with me. You will have to go on stage and talk and them we would do the meet and greets." I answered with "well will that make me a celebrity too?" she said "well yes, sweetie." We arrived home and i went to unlock the door and I helped Melanie with all the bags. We went to put them in my room then I realized it was only 3:50 pm. Melanie asked me if I can sing for her and I quickly responded with "YES!!!". I started to sing Dead To Me because that was my favorite song by Melanie.

I soon saw that Melanie was crying I asked her "why are you crying?" it took her some time but she finally said "you sounded like an angel". I said "really" then she said "you should upload covers to YouTube and eventually you are gonna be on the voice like I was. You are definitely gonna sing at my shows." I was in shock then she said "you can call mom or Melanie. I don't have a problem with you calling me mom but when my fans do it I get really mad. Understood?" I nodded. I then went to my room.

About 2 hours later I heard Melanie call my name I went to find her in her room. I knocked "come in" I heard. I saw Melanie with all of the Crybaby merchandise and I even saw unreleased stuff she gave me one of everything. I quickly said "thank you Melanie," Then she said "time for dinner." We had pizza, soon after I took a shower and went back to Melanie's room to say goodnight even though it was only 7:30 pm. I gently knocked "come in" i heard so I went in.

She showed me her new album and gave me a copy of it even though it didn't come out till next year. She also showed the remaining music videos and showed me all her wigs. By the time all of this was over it was 8:30 and i said "goodnight Melanie" she later answered "night sweetie," then she kissed my forehead,I slightly blushed then she asked why I blushed and I said "because I was just kissed by my idol Melanie Martinez" later she answered "Well get used to it you're going to meet more celebrity's" then I was about to leave the I remembered I was gonna ask her something else "Melanie, one question" she quickly answered "what is it" I asked her "can I dye my hair like you did" she almost immediately said "of course you can we can go do that tomorrow after we go and get your school supplies now go get some sleep" I left to got to my room and rapidly feel asleep.
