School
I was still irritated about Megan and not yet told my dad so I had to keep careful of my emotions so he didn't find out. He'll rip her to shreds.
I closed my locker that was next to Megan's. She walked by me and opened her mouth to speak, but I cut her off.
"Hi Megan! How was the tournament?"
"Crazy as usual." She smiled, but it seemed kind of forced. Suddenly a girl with light brown hair came up to us. Her crystal blue eyes stood out against her olive skin, so she was absolutely stunning. She grinned at Megan and scowled at me. No wonder Megan chose her over me. Here I am with normal brown hair and hazel eyes.
Megan smiled at her and she turned to me with a scowl that exactly matched the girl's. "By the way, I'm hanging with Delia now. You're boring and low class. I'm with the popular girls now. Bye forever, Andrea." She scowled at me with a smirking Delia. Megan looked like she had a hard time saying my name. Now I had no one...
The same exact thing happened with my friend from preschool, Elise. She had moved on with the popular kids and then they stabbed her in the back and she was bullied for a whole year by them. I tried to talk to her many times and even stood up for her, but she always treated me like I was dirt. Finally I stopped trying and she became the school nerd. She got so tired of it, she moved away to some other state, never to be heard from again.
I sat by myself in all the classes except one, which Megan sat next to me, but ignored me the whole time. She never told me why and I was going to find out. This has now become a mission. But I didn't care that she had not become my friend anymore. She would just be stabbed in the back and laughed at. I mean, I always had other people. I just needed to find them.
At lunch I managed to find a seat...next to Megan.
"Hey Meg! How ya been! I haven't seen you all sum-" someone talking stopped mid sentence. I turned to see who it was. A tall girl with light blonde hair and teal eyes was glaring at me and a sly smile played on her dull maroon lips, lipstick smeared all over them.
"Excuse me. I think you have the wrong table, because you are sitting in my seat." She didn't seem that mad about it, but something made me get up and mumble sorry as I grabbed my lunch and threw it away. I looked back and all of them were talking and laughing about what I knowis gossip, except for one.
Megan was sadly looking in my direction and I glared at her. Hurt was spread across her face but was quickly replaced by her ugly sad smile. I whipped my head around and walked down the hallway.
I heard footsteps behind me so I peeked around the corner of my shoulder and saw Megan following me. "Andrea, we need to talk."
"Yes?" I said sweetly, not wanting the anger to push even more away.
"Look, I'm with the populars now, don't mess this up for me."
I nod sadly. "Okay I'll stay out of your way. You're pretty, I'm ugly. You're smart, I'm dumb. You're perfect, I have so many flaws I can't evn count. You're popular now, and I have no friends now."
"No-"
"But what gets me is that after they are bored with you, they'll throw you away. I know because the same thing happened with my other 'friend' and she got stabbed in the back and she hsd to move. Remember Elise?"
She nodded.
"Well yeah. Oh, and I remembered another thing. You have both parents, and I lost my mom in a plane crash that still makes me sob every night wishing I was one of those kids who had their mom cook them breakfast every morning. Have a mom who tucked me in bed every night and singing songs so beautiful it's like an angels voice. Have a mom who hugs me and let's me cry on her shoulder when my best friend punched me in the face by going against me to hang with other kids just because she wants to be cool. Well guess what?! I'm glad I'm different! Because then I'm not boring and I have my own mind full of my own creative thoughts. Go ahead! Be with them! I don't care! It's almost like I can't make friends anymore. Because they always betray me!" By this time, tears were streaming down my face while Megan was shocked. Thank god I'm not the type to wear a lot of makeup so all I had to fix is my eyeliner and blush.
The bell rang, preventing Megan to say anymore and I just walked off to the bathroom without saying another word. When I came out of the bathroom, satisfied with my appearance, I saw Megan up against the lockers kissing some guy like nothing ever happened between us.
The guy had white blonde hair that went well with his tan skin and brandy brown colored eyes. I walked past them to find my locker. I scanned them until I came to it. If fate hadn't wanted me ruined before, this definately did the trick. They were covering my locker.
I strolled over there and pretended to be looking for my locker. When I pretended I found it, I said in a sweet voice," Um, Megan. Can you guys scooch a little. You guys are covering my locker."
"Can you leave?" Megan asked in a rude voice breaking them apart.
"Well, I'm trying to get to my locker." I kept my nice netrual voice, trying not to let my anger burst.
They both rolled their eyes and they noticed because they laughed and kissed again. I lost my patience.
"Okay,"they both looked at me," I need you to move, or are you incapable of that? As you can see I am trying to get to class, but I can't go if I don't have my books, which are in my locker that you are currently covering. So get the fuck out of my way because I am going to be late. Now most of you popular low-lives think that this is just a big game. But it's not. Class leads to good grades, good grades leads to graduation, graduation leads to scholarship, scholarship leads to collage, collage leads to job, job leads to money, and money leads to big houses and expensive cars. Now if that's what you want I suggest you stop kissing that low life because I gareuntee you she'll dump you for her crush for years, Steven. Now get the fuck out."
Steven looked at me like I was a monster. "How do you know my name?" He said horrfied.
"Bitch please, I have my ways. And Megan," I focused my attention on her while she glared at me," I thought you could do better than him. You offically get the worst person you could kiss award and the best backstabber the world has ever seen. Thanks for being a great friend and then stabbing me in the back."
She smiled a geniune smile. "I'm sorry. I hope you can forgive me for what I did. I really admire how strong you are. You didn't go bawling in the corner of the bathroom like most people would."
I grinned half-heartedly. "I know. I'm not as weak as you think."
I grabbed my books from my locker, which they moved out of the way, and walked to class without a second glance.
I knew Megan too well. She didn't mean to say sorry. She was trying to tell me there is more trouble.
