You know when you watch those movies, about these new kids starting a new school and as soon as they walk in the door everyone just stares at them? Well thats not exactly realistic. Who is going to stop their day to stare at the new kid? Not anyone here. As I walked into that new school, a wave of relief hit me as I came to terms that living here maybe wouldn't be so bad.
As I pulled the door open for the counselors office, a figure came out as I was about to walk in. I wobbled a little bit and felt two steady hands on my shoulders as I looked up about to say something but got lost in these attractive forest green eyes. I immediately looked down and stepped aside and let him step out so I cold walk in. I quietly took a seat to calm my self as I felt a dozen pairs of eyes on me.
"You know who that was, right?" a brown hair girl asked me, she had her hair up in a bun witha strand by her eyes, she looked nice.
"No? I'm new so I really don't know anyone here" I questioned slightly confused, what was the big deal, I'm sure he was just some student. Hot, but just some regular old studen
"Oh you are new? Thats why you looked so confused. I'm sorry, my name is Abby. And the hottie you bumped into way Jacob, cute right?"
Was it that obvious that I though he was cute? I immediatly blushed and looked away, right when I was going to reply to her I heard my name being called and looked to see who it was. In the door way of some office was a middle aged looking women with a tight pony tail and a nice work appropriate dress. I smiled and got up from my seat and looked back at the girl who was talking to me and waved by, "My name is Elizabeth, it was great meeting you" and with that I walked into the office.
Now I won't bore you with what I talked to the councelor about, because I honestly droned out. They all ask the same questions and ask about my dad and how we should be excited for him and this new opprotunity. So you know, you can imagine how annoying those conversations go. Once she handed me my schedule I shook her hand thanking her and walked out and headed to my first class for the day, English 3.
I left the office with a few minutes to spare before everyone else got out of their previous class, so I wandered around trying to find my first class without having to ask anyone for help and drawing attention to me. Being the new head coaches daughter will draw enough attention to me as is, I don't really want more.
Walking up the main stairs, I look at the clock and see that any moment now the class period will end and these halls will get super crowded and so I try to hurry and find my class before I get trampled. As I get closer to the room number the dismissal bell rings and everyone rushes out of the classrooms so quick and I bump shoulders with a figure and my backpack goes flying a few feet from me.
"Look who we have here, do you just make it a point to bump into me? Like really this is the second time?" I look up and see those familiar forest green eyes and look back down, bending down to grab my backpack but it was snatched before I could grab it. I look up and see that another guy grabbed my bag, "So is this the girl you haven't been able to stop talking about all period?" his taunting voice sent chills down my spine.
"Can it dude. It's not funny, give the girl back her bag." the first guy said. What's his name again? James? John? Jacob? Jacob!
"What's it to you anyways? Jacob getting all soft?" the second guy continued to taunt.
"Adam give the poor damn girl back her bag" a third guy appeared and looked at me confused. "Aren't you the new coaches daughter?"
Nodding, I look away and see that almost the whole hall way is clear. I'm screwed, I'm so going to be late.
"Shit, really?" Adam said, as the two others looked at me with disgust.
Confused I shook my head "Can I just have my bag back now?" I asked timidly not wanting to be late.
"So she has a voice? Here have it back, and watch where you step" Jacob said and walked passed me as if nothing happened while Adam, I think it was, handed my bag back and I watched the three boys walk off and I hurried to class.
The rest of the day was such a blur that before I knew it, I was sitting on the football sidelines watching and waiting for my dads practice to be over in the blistering sun. Unfortunately it hadn't even started yet, as the boys walked out of the locker room I saw a few glance over at me and say something to their pals and do some bro hand shake. No doubt in my mind did I think that had something to do about me.
Then I saw them; Jacob, Adam, and that other boy that I didn't catch his name. I saw what I thought was a smirk come from Jacob, Adam just glared at me but the other guy, just did a little wave before turning back around to listen to whatever my father was saying.
I pulled out a book from my bag and started to read to pass time, hoping it would go by faster this way. Before I knew it, I heard a whistle being blown at me and I looked up to see my father trying to get my attention to let me know that practice was over and to meet him at the car. I nodded my head, packing my stuff back up and started walking back to the parking lot.
As I was walking back, I heard multiple footsteps come up beside me, "So, coaches precious daughter. Does daddy know you were late to class today?" I turned around to the not familiar voice and found a few football players already dressed out looking at me like some prize.
"N-" I blanked, I've never been in a situation like this and I could feel my heart rate quicken with each step they took towards me. I felt a solid car door behind me while I tried to peek over their shoulders to see if anyone was coming to help.
Sure enough I heard familiar voices, and despite previous events I was relieved to here them. "Will, Sam and Eric, what on earth do you think you are doing? Get away from the poor girl." I heard one of them say.
"Just something that everyone else has been thinking" the blonde guy remarked. It sent chills down my spine and I looked away.
"Stop, and leave before you regret it" Jacob stepped in front of me and by his stance I could tell that he looked pissed from the front. I had a sudden urge to lift my hand and place it on his shoulder blades and release the tension, but I knew that would have been bad.
Soon enough the other three guys left with grunts saying they were no fun. I looked away trying to calm my heart, I was greatful that they showed up but I wasn't about to let them think that. Couldn't risk it boosting up their egos.
" I could have taken care of that myself" I told them readjusting my shoulder strap.
"Please, I could see the panic in your face from a mile away" Adam scoffed
"Whatever, you aren't going to get a thank you, if thats what you are thinking" I crossed my arms.
"Quit the tough act, we just saved you from something that could have gone totally south if we hadn't been walking out when we did." Jacob said chillingly looking at me with this dark look. Which made him look even more dangerous and hot.
"Well you quit this whole bad boy act, god all you football players are the exact same, egotistical jerks" I pushed the strap up more and turned around and contnued walking to my dads car.
"Oh what a temper we have here, you are like a firecracker" Adam remarked
"Shut up and leave me alone" I yelled back and walked faster to my car.
I heard silence and looked back to see them gone. Once I got to the car I saw my dad already there and decided to leave out the whole thing that happend, and came up wih a simple lie as to what took me so long to get to the car.
