SOMETIMES , THE PAST AND PRESENT can merge together.

In that moment , how will you handle it?

It is true we as people cannot and will not ever be able to control or dictate the things around us or what's conducive to our lives. We have to know that the commodities of our past do affect our futures , but is not a result of what it entails. Thus , causing the two to collide at times of what's to come and what already has been catching up to us. Life's a chain-less cycle. Often history repeats itself or tries to replicate itself in one way or another every once in a blue moon. It is something we must deal with and not avoid , because the cycle will continually repeat until it's fully complete.

God says we should not be ignorant to the idea of what is in front of us. And to know that what's behind us can hinder us from reaching our full potential. I often wonder how can this be? Why would he willing watch these unfortunate circumstances happen , especially to someone like me who he holds so ever nearly and dearly to his heart–is that a naive way to think? I already understand that I'm never supposed to question The Father , but what I didn't get was that meant to doubt him not. So I stood apprehensive to even ask , in which all my queries remain unanswered.

Sometimes , the past and the present can merge together.

In that moment , how will you handle it?

"You must like coming up to the precinct." The officer spoke as he puffed on his cigarette.

We were currently outside the Philadelphia Police Department on his lunch break after having ourselves a leisure stroll and light eats. A few months had passed by since we've been acquainted. I never saw myself in a position this comfortable around a man ever again , and I honestly couldn't believe that I'd trusted him enough to accompany him so often. But thankfully with his help , I've learned to forgive. And now , I am free. I am free. I am free. I am free as can be. I have The Father and the kind policeman to thank for helping liberate me.

"Why do you still come around?" He questioned me , singeing his cigarette on the back of his hand.

"Why do you burn yourself with cigarettes?"

"If I asked you to come somewhere with me , would you follow?" He quickly changed the subject , boring his eyes into mine.

"That's all I've been doing lately isn't it?"

"Come somewhere with me , please?"
