The rain was coming down hard now. He could barely see where he was going and his wife's scream prodded him to drive faster.
He had been drinking all night trying to forget about his breakup with his girlfriend. He decided it was time to just go home and sleep it off since the beer wasn't working. The more he thought about her the more mad he became and the faster he drove.
They were almost to the hospital but the baby couldn't wait and the little girl was born in the back seat of the car. When he heard her cry for the first time he looked back and smiled. He pulled the car over and got in the back with his wife.
Now he was pissed. She had no right to leave him the way she did. Who did she think she was? By now his vision was blurred from the alcohol, rain, and his tears.
By the time he saw the headlights it was too late. He tried to swerve but he hit the car. The news paper article read. New mother and father was killed by drunk driver the only surviver was a new born baby and the driver of the other car. Police have yet to say what charges are pending against the driver of the other car or what is to happen to the baby.
