Moon Blast's Origin Story

Here I am again, fighting Sunbeam for the last time.

"Woah, hold it! We can't start here! We have to tell them your origin story."

"Oh whoops, let's start from the beginning. The very beginning"

It all happened so fast my sister, Maggie, got a job to investigate some strange energy emitting sun.

It was a secret she wasn't supposed to tell me, but we were besties she had to tell me.

I was helping her pack her bags it was a very nice summer day today. "Maggie, do you think you're going to come back? This is a very dangerous mission..." I say to my sister with worry in my voice. "Of course I'm coming back we only have the best heat proof ship in the world!" Maggie says to me excitedly. I bite my lip, I mean I was excited for her too but what if I lose her? I keep packing her bags when my owl, Mystic, lands on my shoulder. He brushes his head to mine. I pet underneath his beak and I can hear him do a low friendly hoo. I laughed and my sister turns to me with her bags packed and ready with her luggage tags.

"You ready? I need you to drive by the way since I want to spend time with Mystic before I go!" Maggie rolls her bags to the front while talking about how excited she is. I help her get her bags into the car and we head to the airport for her flight to the U.S.A. I take her bags out and Mystic helps bring a small duffel bag. When we reach the baggage drop off I have to say good bye now. Mystic rubs his head on her arm and I hug her super tight so she can't breathe.

"Dying sister here!" Maggie says coughing out the words.

One Week Later.

I could hear someone knocking on my door. I slid downstairs on the railing hopped off and ran to the door. When I opened the door a saw an officer in a uniform about 5.8 feet tall with dark brown hair.

"Ma'am I have bad news, your sister she died on her trip." He says with sorrow. My smile turns into a frown and tears stream down my face continuously. The officer lowers his head then takes his leave. I slam the door and walk slowly to the couch and flop down right beside Mystic. He rubs his head against mine and I can see his eyes watering.

The next couple weeks were hard for me but I got a job as an Astronomer in replacement for my sister. One day there was a meteor shower and one landed on earth. I was assigned the job to research the meteor that landed and report back what I found. It was night time and I was at the crash site and the meteor was glowing a bright neon purple. Of course my curiosity got the best of me and I touched the meteor. Because of the power of the meteor I got blast backwards and, lights out! When I woke up I felt light as a feather, not just because I got knocked out, but I was levitating! I screamed and fell down, I started feeling nauseous and threw up in my mouth. It tasted disgusting and burnt at the same time. All of a sudden the ground around me starts burning up.

"Ah! Fire!" it surrounded me but nothing happened. "What the heck?" I said. It formed a shield of fire around me, I tried walking forwards and the fire followed. I decided to touch the fire and something purple came out of my hands and put out the fire. What the heck is happening to me?

"Miss. Lauren! There's a blazing comet coming towards our space station!" One of my co-workers said.

"Okay let me see and I'll figure it out." I run to the space station, not to mention, in high heels! I run down the pearl white hallway to the observatory and look in the huge telescope. I notice that the comet has a human shape.

"That's not a comet! That a human!" I call out. I see the person shoot lava at the station then continues flying. Just then lava starts dripping into the observatory and I run out of the observatory with the lava following behind. I run down multiple halls until I reach my office, I grab a costume I was going to use at a convention and put it on. I tie my light purple hair into a high ponytail and put a mask on. I then slip on a dark purples suit with sparkles and magenta boots. But of course all of this wasn't fireproof. I rush outside and I start levitating off the ground, maybe I control my powers with my mind. Since I wanted to float up I thought about going up and I started floating upwards.
