Girl with a pen

The words you say to me
Come on one ear
And get twisted and stretched by my machine of a head
And out of the bleeding body of a pen

Your words that hurt drain her of her life. Soaking a page with black tears eyes pressed to the lines.
The words that you say in good will. Suck out the black negativity you've planted intended to sooner later use for a kill.

You lift her up you let her down. The girl with a pen
You speak to her now and again
She hears it all. She's a listener
She's full of wisdom if you'd just listen to her
How how the lives of the people would change if they had a good pen.
