There he sat. On the same bench, in the same park, at the same time every day. It never changes. Everything is always the same.
It was the last day of winter, and the cold breeze reminded Mark of his terrible memory, and the fact that he forgot to bring a coat. It also reminded him that it wasn't spring yet, although he doubted that it would ever be spring when he lived the life that he did. He immediately scolded himself for the thought, for he knew that he was very lucky to have such a great job, a loving family, good friends, etc. But, for some reason, despite all of these things, he still wasn't happy.
Mark stood up, and began to walk towards his apartment. Watching everyone live their lives, completely separate from his own. They all had their own friends, families, jobs, and even romances. Although he had most of the same things, he still wasn't as happy as they were. Or, at least, as happy as they seemed.
Suddenly, he felt a sudden pain in his head. He was on the ground. He stood up, and realized he had ran into someone while he was lost in his own thoughts.

"Oh! I'm sorry, I'm Mark." He said as he reached out his hand for the stranger to shake.

The other man hesitates, so Mark takes a moment to glance at his appearance. He's short, but only a few inches shorter than Mark. He has bright green hair, styled similarly to his own. He's wearing a grey, long sleeve shirt that says "BERLIN" on it in white letters in a black rectangle on the front of the shirt. Along with that he's wearing black ripped jeans and sneakers. He looked, slightly in pain.
The stranger grabbed his hand and shook it. "I-It's fine. My n-name is...," he said before falling to the ground, now unconscious. "Someone call 911!" Mark said in a panic.
They were at the hospital all night, but Mark hasn't left the stranger's bed-side the whole time. He was filled with guilt, thinking he did all of this. The stranger begins to wake up, still half asleep.
"What happened?" He asked.
"You had a stroke," Mark answered. "What's your name?"
"My name is Jack."

That's when he realized. He knew that name. Youtube. I just sent Jacksepticeye to the hospital. The Jacksepticeye. Just Great.

"Jack I have some bad news," The doctor interrupts Mark's train of thought. "Jack well, you have cancer."

Mark could feel Jack's heart drop. Silence. This man who he dreamed of meeting has cancer? No, this can't be true! Jack rips out his IV and try's to run out of the room, only to find himself curled in a ball on the floor.

"I'm sorry Jack. I really am. But it gets worse." The doctor said. Jack's eyes fill with rage that turns to tears. "Your cancer is stage 5, so sadly you have only 9 months to live."
Mark runs out of the room. "I can't take it! I did this. It's all my fault." Mark feels like he is drowning in his own tears. He composes himself and re-enters the room to find Jack crying alone.

"Are you okay?" Mark asked.
"DO I LOOK OKAY?" Jack responded. Mad, but still crying.
Mark sits on the bed with Jack then wipes his tears. "What are you doing?" Jack asked but he didn't want it to stop.

Jack was so cold and tired, he just wanted to sleep. He shut his eyes for a second and let Mark's warmth and comforting words lull him asleep.
The next morning, Mark wakes up first.

"Please say there's something I can do," he asks the doctor.

She shakes her head. They stare at eachother, then at Jack. After a few minutes of silence, he wakes up.

The doctor breaks the silence "You can go home now."
"Will I have another stroke?" Jack asks.

His eyes fill with tears again, remembering yesterday's news. She shakes her head again. She says something else, but Jack can only hear the voices in his head. He zones back in.

"Mark, I recommend you, or someone from Jack's family, stay with him until..."

Then there was silence, while everyone was trying to figure out what the happy ending would be, although they all knew that Jack's story, didn't have one.

"I think Jack would probably want to be with his family, I mean we only just me-"
"No! N-No. I'd rather stay with you, M-Mark."

They looked into eachother's eyes for the first time. Jack never noticed that Mark's eyes are a warm, chocolate brown. And Mark never noticed that Jack's eyes are a stunning, sky blue. They could stare into each other's eyes forever, and never get bored. They both could feel something other than pain or sadness. It was love.
