All Roses Have Thorns

Chapter 1

"Excuse me?"

Luis Galvez bit the inside of his cheek, of course, he hadn't expected this to be easy.
It's not that he didn't love her, he loved her more than anything in the whole world.

It's just that, it's only been her. From the time that he was old enough to even start dating, he only had her. No one else, no other experiences, nothing and no one at all. She took all his firsts, even his virginity. Luis is a man of adventure and he wants to begin a new adventure with someone other than his girlfriend of 7 years in total.

Brianna De la Rosa glared daggers at Luis. She tapped her white manicured nails against the cold glass table and leaned forward.

"What did you just say?" It was as if she was daring him to repeat his words.

"..A-Amor, please understand why I'm doing this-" he quickly stuttered before she cut him off in a cold voice.

"Repeat exactly what you said Luis."

Luis shut his eyes, letting out a breath of air.
He glided his finders against the strings of his guitar to ease his mind.

"I want to break up, for a bit." He replied with his eyes still closed.

Brianna crossed her arms, scowling at him.
She seemed like a handful, and she was, but she only acted like this to mask the hurt she's actually feeling.

"How long is 'for a bit'?"

Luis shrugged, stringing a tune. After a moment of silence, Brianna decided on another question.

"Who's the bitch?" She asked, her voice filled with venom.

Luis tilted his head back, sighing. He hated when she got like this.

"There is no bitch, I made this decision on my own Brianna." Brianna rolled her eyes at him, obviously not believing that he'd leave her for no reason.

"Merda, so tell that zorra to stop putting these ideas in your head-"

"People aren't meant to be together forever."
Luis raised his voice, gripping the base of his guitar tightly in his hand, the strings digging into his palm.

"Why do you have to be so difficult all the damn time? I want to experience other things, I want to meet other people! There's more to the world than you and me, Brianna."

Brianna sat still in her seat, a look of shock plastered on her face. How long has he felt this way? Was she really too much to handle? When will they get back together? More importantly, does Luisito still love her?

And then suddenly she was angry all over again. "What the fuck do you mean?! It's always been you and me!" She raised her voice enough to attract a bit of attention.

"That's the point, it's always always been you and me I want to see what else is out there, who else is out there! Don't you understand that?"
