The concept of time was not relevant here, though it feels as though I have spent at least half of a year in this place. Mason, Evan, and I have all spent every day together. I have not attempted to open the large door because I don't' want to risk losing Mason. Every day I am filled with regret because I don't attempt to have any contact with the one that I am supposedly in love with. "How are you today?" Evan asked as he sat on the wooden stool. I placed my clenched fists on the table only to unclench them. "Today is just one of those days..." One of those days has now turned into one of those months.

"Do you want to go to work today?" Work...? Lately I have done what was needed; I am the one of the many greeters. "No I don't..." This was not a satisfying job; it never really was from the start. I only laughed as I watched my brothers long black hair waving as the rest of his body followed. "You need a haircut." I joked and surprisingly he sat in the chair quietly. "Then cut it please."

"A-Alright" I shudder as I gather my materials. The dry snip of the scissors, the curl in his hair, this moment was so meaningful; it was nothing at all yet it was everything. Our meaningless small talk, the familiar scenery; I snipped his hair thinking that it was nothing, yet I had felt so calm. I wanted to stay in this moment forever, no... forever wasn't long enough for me. "Evan... If you ever chose to leave my side, I will understand. Just make sure to come back and show me that you are still alive."

As expected, my words shocked him. Was it unspeakable to say these words? If it is then why have many people talked to me about never leaving? There is no guarantee that one person will stay with the other forever. I am only asking for him to come back if he ever wanders away. "I understand your hesitation with trusting my words, but know this... I will never intentionally leave. If it is by force then I will try my best to come back." His words did not instantly cure me as one would expect, yet my loneliness was not as visible.

"Words are only half of the truth; let my actions show you that I am serious." Evan has always been kind to me and this is why I have always wanted him by my side, just as Mason was. "Knock, Knock." Mason hums as he enters my home. "Cutting hair I see." He states as he snatched the scissors from my fingers. My silence remains and he hums once more. "As cold as usual? That won't get you anywhere, Embrena it is time to go to work." This was not the Mason that I had once known and it angered me, what had happened to him? When has he become so strict? "Fine..."

Entering the small room, I sit in the white chair, only to greet the new arrow. The usual monitor beeps and the word arrow appears along with his name. Soon blocks of red appear in the middle of the air, floating above the bed. "Hello Reanna." I whisper as I make eye contact with a woman with blue hair and green eyes with splashes of red. "Where am I?" I only chuckle as I stand. As usual, the new person was scared and nervous. "Welcome Ray, we have been expecting you." I stated as my body inched closer to hers. "This is La mort d'un arc et d'une fleche, also known as The death of an bow and arrow." Confusion was written on her face and I spoke once more. "Let me show you around, I know you must be very scared but this is your new home; I hope you feel welcomed, just follow me."

Before I leave with Reanna I stop by the doors. "I am leaving to give her a tour, another person needs to come and wait." After our word exchange I leave to bring the newbie around our small community. "This place began when the first cupid died by the hands of another's arrow. His name was Ethan Monsuemore, he lives to this day. This whole life style started in France and that is why the name is French. Most people are from France, some are from Washington, Michigan, Nebraska, and people from around the globe are here. I was told that it is an honor to even set foot on this land." Before I could speak any further Reanna cuts me off.

"Can I contact previous cupids; I need to see my girlfriend?" As she asked her question we stood in front of the closed golden door. "This is how... but it has been closed off for some time now, either way they wouldn't have noticed that you were there. They couldn't see, hear, or smell you. There was no point anyway." I coldly stated as I stared at the green grass. I noticed something off but I seemed to be the only one. "Have you ever had someone you loved? You would do anything to get them back; just to see their face one more time, even if they don't see you." Her words shook me and I sighed deeply.
