Chapter 1: The Return

            12:46 a.m.

  I

t’s been days now since the banging and flashing kept blaring and awakening form my sleep. I wish they could just stop! Well, part of it could be my fault. Last night I kept having dreams of someone shining in the distance and the only faint event I saw, was something red gashing out from it’s back. When I awoken, I was in the middle of a battlefield, well I thought it was, somebody saved me, but I don’t know who. But until you find this book, SAVE

“I need someone here now! Quick! I need some water, and a few crackers!” said a woman in a white uniform. I thought it was my mom at first, until I had no memory of her, nor my dad. “Are you okay? I am a nurse of Beferron, a battlefield nurse. Could you tell me your name?”

“Sure,” I replied, “I’m Richie, Richie Free. Could you tell me where I’m at? Tell me what’s going on and where are my parents!”

We had quite a long talk. The only knowledge that I have was that, I was in the Battle of Tarran, that I have been deemed K.I.A for a number of years now, and the bit of remains that lasted in my last dream. I was now able to go home, but I don’t recall having a home.

“Excuse me miss! Do you perhaps know where I live?”

“Oh, yes! Pardon me, I forgot to give you the folder!”

Inside the folder were packets of paper, luckily, all of my personal information were on the top. I was still so confused of what was going on. In my head were millions of questions that needed to be asked, but my main objective was to go home. The paper read 1287 Tuckloff, Tritownial, Beferron. Something that caught my eye was the numbers 1287 was written in pencil, but then I thought it might have been a minor mistake.

“An army transportation truck will be driving you and two other sergeants back to homeland. Thank you for your service Colonel Richie.”

The nurse and I saluted each other and I walked out the door.

In the truck, I saw a young woman and a young man. They were almost around my age, if it seemed.

“Do you happen to be 28? RICHIE?” the woman asked.

            “How did you know?”
