Chapter 18

Achilles:

Well that certainly was an awkward moment, but yet I kinda enjoyed it. Looking into those beautiful eyes of hers. It was really generous of her to fix those cuts for me, she's so caring, it's one of the things I love about her.

The next day, my nose felt a bit better, but my back still hurt. I wanted to see Helen again, but then I remembered I had to run some errands for my mom since she was busy again. So that afternoon I went to Walmart where I went into the cereal aisle and picked up a box of 'Raisin Bran' and a box of 'Cocoa Puffs'. But when I turned my head, I was surprised to see Violet.

"Hey Violet" I smiled at her.

"Oh hi Achilles" she smiled back.

"I didn't expect to see you here."

"Yeah well I had some last minute shopping to do."

"So how's it going with the money raisin?"

"Pretty good so far, I still need more though."

"Well I would donate some more, but I only have my mom's credit card so-".

"That's fine" she said with a small smile when she then looked into my shopping cart "I see you're getting 'Cocoa Puffs'."

"Yeah."

"That was Jason's favorite cereal" she sighed sadly.

"Oh" I said with a sad look.

She then gave another sigh.

"Well then" she said as she calmed herself "So uh, you thinking about going to Prom?"

"Uh, I might, what about you?"

"I might go, but the thing is, I kinda wanna go with Phillip, but I'm too afraid to ask him."

"You like Phillip?" I said surprised.

"I know it's weird but, I really do like him."

"It's not weird" I smiled "I think the two of you would be cute together."

"Oh, thanks" she smiled "But I don't know if he feels the same way."

Wow, this is kinda like my love life right now. Violet's feeling the same thing for Phillip. Now that got me thinking, if I was Violet right now, what would I do?

"Violet look" I said "I know how you feel, it's hard to tell someone that you like them. But a guy like to know when a girl likes him, so don't be afraid to ask Phillip. I say go for it."

"Really?"

"Yeah" I smiled "I have a feeling he likes you back."

"Well uh, okay" she said with a nervous smile.

"Good luck."

"Thanks" she smiled as she headed off.

Now all I gotta do it wait. I really hope Phillip says yes, cause I do have a strong feeling that he likes her back. But then that got me thinking about Helen, I remembered what Glinda told me that I had until the week before Prom to tell Helen how I feel, but now that I think about it, I feel like I want to ask her out now. Yeah that's right, I'm not gonna wait, I love her, I'm gonna do it. But first I felt like I needed to call Glinda for some advice, so I pulled out my phone and started to call her.

"Did you tell her yet?" she asked when she picked up.

"Yeah about that" I said "I've been thinking about it, and now I realized that I want to be with her now."

"So what are you saying?"

"I'm going to ask her out today" I smiled as I heard Glinda squeal that nearly made my ears bleed.

"Oh my God!" she exclaimed "Are you serious?!"

"Yeah" I smiled "I feel like I wanna do it now."

"Well what are you talking to me for? Go ask her out!"

"I'm going to after I finish my errands, but before I go, any advice before I do it?"

"Just be yourself, now go!"

"Okay!" I said as I hung up.

Okay, so after I finish my errands, I'm gonna ask Helen out. Man I feel so nervous, I can't believe I'm actually gonna do it. But right after a finished shopping, I headed out to my car, only to hear a familiar voice behind me as I turned around to see Hera and her crew. I saw that Hera was wearing a sparkly beanie, most likely to cover her colorful hair.

"Hey" Hera said with a smirk.

"Oh hey" I said with sarcasm "How's your hair?"

She gave a grunt as she adjusted her beanie.

"Never mention my hair ever again" she growled as I gave a small chuckle "But here's the thing, are you thinking about going to Prom?"

Okay this is getting weird, this is the second time someone's asked me this.

"Why do you ask?" I asked.

"Oh it's nothing" she said as she went up to me with a flirty smile and started to run her hands over my chest "Unless you'd like to go with me."

What the what?! First Randy flirts with Helen, and now Hera's flirting with me? What the hell is going on?

"Okay stop" I ordered as I moved her hands away "I know why you're doing this, it's because you want to hurt Helen."

"Of course not" she smirked, I can totally see the lie in her eyes "I just gotta say, you've gotten pretty hot over the years."

She then started to caress my arms as she leaned into my face and looked me in the eyes.

"So why not go with me to Prom?" she said in a flirty way.

But before I could say anything else, the unthinkable happened. Hera grabbed onto my face and pulled me into a kiss. I couldn't believe this, the girl that was bullying the girl I liked was kissing me! I immediately pushed her away with disgust.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" I yelled.

"Did you like that?" Hera smirked.

"You need to stay away from me" I scowled.

"And why is that? You like someone else?"

"As a matter of fact I do, I like Helen."

At that point Hera and her crew seemed surprised.

"You do?" they said surprised.

"Yeah" I said with confidence "I like her, you got a problem with that?"

"Well it's just, it's Helen" Hera said "How can you like her? She doesn't even know how to drive."

"That's because she's afraid to drive."

"Why would she be afraid to drive? Driving should make you feel free, what's wrong with her?"

"Because her mother died in a car accident!"

I had to say it, and because of that the girls seemed even more surprised.

"I-" Hera hesitated as she turned to her crew "Let's go."

Athena and Selene gave me sad looks before following Hera. I felt like they needed to know, and now I'm confused again.
