Chapter 1

Yuki Cross, the headmaster's daughter, walked me to the moon dormitories. She stared at me with curiosity.

I simply ignored her stares. "Well, here we are", she said. "The dorm president will show you around". I walked through the gate without glancing in her direction.

The night class students were all waiting to greet me when I entered the building. "Hello", said one of the male students. He had dark brown hair, the same shade as Yuki's. His eyes were full of loneliness. For some strange reason I couldn't read his thoughts.

Mind reading was my talent. I had multiple talents because I was a pureblood. He was quite handsome I'll admit. "My name is Kaname Kuran".

Oh. So he was the pureblood Yuki was always thinking about. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Kaname-sama". I bowed. He introduced me to the others. One of the females, Ruka, had her head full of jealousy of how Kaname was fasinated by me. I smirked at her and turned towards the others. "It is a pleasure to meet you all", I smiled. "Let me show you to your room", Kaname said, placing his hand on my shoulder.

Ruka suddenly sprang to her feet. "I'll do it". She forced a smile on her face,but the others stared at her in confusion. I smiled as I read her thoughts. This poor girl really does hate me. "Ok". I said.

I followed Ruka up the stairs. Making sure that we were far enough away so the others won't hear, she slammed me against the wall. I simply glared at her. "Stay away from Kaname-sama",she spat. I didn't say a word. Her mind was full of hate and jealousy. "I'm surprised that you're brave enough to attack and threaten a pureblood vampire". I smirked.

I was not going to let this pathetic excuse for a vampire have any affect over me. I grabbed her hand that was slowly tightening around my neck and pulled it away. I tried not to flinched when her nails pulled at my skin. Some blood began to run down my neck, but the wounds healed in seconds. But sadly that didn't stop the others from catching the sent of my blood.

I heard footsteps coming our way and Kaname yelled out my name. I looked at Ruka then fell to the floor. "Mizuki are you alright"? Aido asked as he lifted me to my feet. I nodded. When I looked up I saw that everyone was staring at Ruka. "Ruka, what did you do"? Kaname demanded. I ran in between them quickly and said," Ruka did not harm me. I tripped and fell. I cut my leg". Kaname looked at me and then at Ruka. "My apologies, Ruka. I shouldn't have accused you like that".

She looked at the floor. "Classes will be starting in an hour. Lets all get back to our rooms and get ready". They left me and Ruka alone in the hallway. She stared at me in suspicion. "Why would you do that"? She asked. I shrugged. "I didn't want to cause you any trouble, when I just got here. Even though you clearly deserve it". She stared at me for a moment, then said "Your room is the third door on your left." She ran past me and made her way to her own room. I think I might actually enjoy it here.
