"KAYLA WAKE UP! School starts in 30 minutes!"

SH*T! HAVE TO GET UP!! Why didn't my alarm clock go off?? i look down and see that It went off but I didn't hear it. MAN! I have been doing that for the past few days. Ever since my 16th birthday. April 13th is my birthday. i'm running around my room trying to find my clothing. Monday morning URGH! I run down the hall to the stairs and run to the kitchen.

"Hey mom." I said kissing her cheek.

"Here take this." she tells me as she hands me a bagle. "Thxs." I walk over and grabbed my car keys and my bag. "BYE MOM!" I scream and close the door.

*15 minutes later*

"Hey Jas. Stop poking me!" I turn around a grab my best friends' finger and twist.

"OW! Stop! STOP! Ok! Kayla I'll stop!!!" He wines and bends over to pick up his books that he dropped. "That hurt." He mumbled under his breath. I grin. Ha serves him right. I warned him.

*AT LUNCH*

"So what are we going to do about the whole Mate thing?" Jase asked in a sarcastic voice.

"I don't know what you mean." I knew what he meant but I just didn't want to deal with it right now.

"You know! The mate thing. Long lost forever mate? WEREWOLVES!" He yells

"SH! I wouldn't be surprised if the whol school just heard you!" I told him while I hit him upside the head. Not enough to damage but enough to get the message acrossed.

"Ow! Will you stop hitting me for one second?"

"WELL!? Stop saying and doing shit I dont want to deal with right now. please." I sigh. I'm 16 years old, i should have found my mate by now.

*BELL RINGS*

"Sorry I have to go, don't want to be late for class." I smirk and walk off. Wow that was close. Thank you bell, it saved me from talking to Jase abou the stupid MATE thing.

*AFTER SCHOOL*

"HEY! KAY! I need a ride to the pack house." Jase called after me. I turned around.

"what makes you think I'm going to the pack house?"

"Well. you are the Alpha's daughter and you go there everyday after school. You know, you are going to become the next Alpha." I sigh. ya I know that I will become the next Alpha, that's all I've heard about ALL this month. Don't get me wrong I want to become Alpha but dad is pounding down on me and I'm starting to get tired of it.

"Fine. I'll take you." I get in the car.

"YA!" he says while throwing punches in the air. "You're crazy." I mumble under my breath.

"I HEARD THAT! That IS why you love me!" He says grinning. I still don't know how we are friends. Reading my mind he says.

"I do. it's because You were lonely so I became your friend." He whispered.

"BULL SHIT! I was NOT LONELY! I became YOUR friend, not the other way around." I scream as I was falling over laughing. He pushed me slitely just enough so I wouldn't crash the car. A few minutes later I pull up to the pack house. I step out of the car and smell something. Somethings not right, I don't recognize that smell. I look over at Jase to see if he smells anything but he is to busy getting his things out of the car. I walk up to the door and open it.

"What the FUCK are you doing here?" I say as she turns around. HOLLY SHIT! IT'S HER!
