Anna's POV
I hear footsteps coming my way so I hold my breath trying to stay calm. Screaming on the inside. There is no turning back now. I have to stay strong for Jace. Stay strong for the others. Stay strong for John who is probably gone by now.
The minion stops in his tracks right in front of the big thing I am hiding behind.
I don't think.
I run not knowing why. They minion sees me out of the corner of his eye and he is coming for me faster and faster.
I don't know if I can keep going.
My legs are aching.
My stomach is churning.
I am out of breath.
Just before I pass out a hand grabs me from out of the darkness.
It covers my mouth.
I struggle to escape it.
But, it is too strong.
I can't hold it back anymore, so I give up and let it win.
Maybe it will be better this way.
