For those who are new to guns or don't know a lot about it
we will be going into bullet caliber, bullet weight, effective range, and even different actions of the gun you use.
First let find the right gun for you. Hand guns vs. rifles. First rifles are less mobility high accuracy, high to low power and capable of Very long range. Second handguns are high mobility, low to med power, close range only. Now the actions for handguns now try to stay with me it is very confusing. Double action can be fired either by pulling the trigger or by cooking and then pulling the trigger. Single action has to be cocked before you pull the trigger. Then you got revolvers high power but with a slightly higher accuracy. On to calibers its simple find one that you can afford. Has a good kick and of course has a heavy weight and high speed bullet. this will greatly improve accuracy. Now time for rifles this will be Easy to explain the actions for rifle are Simi, bolt, and brake barrel. First Simi fast follow up shots however it's easy to go too fast and reduce accuracy .also you can't get very high powered guns in Simi without going in to military grade. Second bolt action with a slower shooting speed. And of course it is more accurate. With the ability to go to a very powerfully round a 45/70 government it can take down a rampaging grisly. And then you got break barrel I would not suggest it only holds one round. With no accuracy or power boost which is why its crap.
Bullet weight , is the weight of the bullet measured in grains ( post comment if incorrect ) the heavier the grain the harder it is for wind to push it around however it also makes it slower so higher grade gun powder is required to maintain speed . Also the bullet will carry a lot more power when it hits the target. Watch out it will increase kick back
Effective range, is simply the effective range in which you can hit your target with relative ease. Now the effective range will depend on the caliber. A 22 will have an effective range of 50 yards .223. Will have an effective rang of 100 yards and a max of 200 yards. I will not go into detail about every gun because I'm doing this from memory.
Now the caliber, the caliber is the diameter of the bullet. I suggest you find a cal. That does not have too much kick. Keep in mind that you can buy a recoil pad that will absorb a lot of recoil also it will add 1 to2 inches to the gun length. I highly recommend you start with a 22. For the following reasons the ammunition is cheap .the Gun is cheap and the best reason of all is if you can hit bull eyes at 50 yards which is 25 yards outside the effective range of the Gun. You will have built up extraordinary accuracy.
This is the second part of. For those who don't know a lot about guns. This will cover what I missed and if I made some mistakes. It is because I am doing this from my own memory. So please leave a comment. In this installment I will be covering Shotguns and what caliber for what size animal. And home defense is what will be explained in this installment. First shotguns close ranges only so don’t try to use it on distant targets. Not only will it not reach him but you can hurt people and destroy property. Shotguns are great because they can be modified more than rifles. If you think mobility is key put a postal grip and for-end grip on it and it is all Most as mobile as a handgun. Now to find the gauge of shotgun that is right for you. Simply find a gauge with a good kick. Second we will discuss calibers what you need to take down an animal. Now onto to home defense I suggest a shot gun hard to miss and you can drop the Robber. And you do need to drop them most of the time people don't want to use deadly force and a lot of the time those people end up dead. For mobile defense don't use the nine mm. It doesn’t have the power needed most of the time you only get one maybe two shots so I suggest a 45 dessert eagle one shot can kill a deer so it should drop a mugger.
