Chapter 22 -Making up the Time

Normal POV

"Avatar isn't a normal enemy that we've faced before, not to mention they are from the book of E.N.D.  Is that alright that we have some special training for Fairy Tail eventually once Team Natsu is in good condition?"

"Sure. We will give our full cooperation."

Uh......Isn't this a bit two formal for two childhood sweetheart?

"Are your wounds still hurt?" The word finally comes out after tons of self-doubt. Jellal tried to make it sounds normal but he still can't hide the concern beyond any words can mention.

"It stings a little but overall it's fine."

To be honest, she is flattered.

He does care about her after all.

Just to think of it makes her smile in joy.

Though, she decided to switch the subject. She needs him to be more open around her. They are not strangers for goodness sake! Awkward moments aren't needed here!

Since Grand Magic Games, he always acted formal around her for some unknown reason. And she clearly doesn't like it.

"Anyway, since when did you guys have a guildhall? Last time I recall you are still straying in the Fiore East Coast Forest."  

It is the place where they last seen each other before Erza left for the infiltrate mission.

Unexpectedly Jellal chuckled as if recalling a funny memory.

"I don't really know either. Long story short, we found this place by chance and it seems to get everyone's liking so here we are. "

She giggled at the answer she found it likely incredible. "Oh really? You guys are more casual then I expected." 

Never thought that they are this easy-going, especially for Jellal.

He played with his wine by slightly stirring it. He has this serious look on his face whenever he is thinking something. "Though......There's some strange thing about this forest and I still can't lay a finger on it." 

Erza stared at him worriedly.If this thing makes Jellal worried that much, it must be a serious matter.

Unexpectedly Jellal held his head up with a lightly smile. "Well, maybe I worry a little too much." This make Erza's heart lifted a little. Maybe we both worry too much.

He turned to face Erza, a warm smile still plastering on his face. "It's alright if you want to ask me something."

"Eh?" Erza was dumb founded. A shade of pink slowly crept to her face as she remain still, trying to find the right word to hide her embarrassment.

Jellal chuckled slightly as he witnessed the mighty Titania's soft side.

This is Erza Scarlet.

His one  and only.

Several seconds later she sighed, finally admit defeat.She turned away from him. "Am I that easy to read......"She pouted.

Once again causing Jellal to laugh at her cuteness. "I've known you for like my whole life so yeah... You're pretty easy to read."

Erza turned back to him and suddenly they both laughed.

This laugh is not like other laugh. It's a hearty laugh. From the bottom of their heart. It's been years since they have ever laughed like this.
