He's not going to show up. Why would he want to? Do you really think Josh could actually like you? Do you really think anyone could actually like you? You're such a disappointment. You're ugly, useless, weak, dumb-
"Okay, I'm gonna stop you right there, Blurry. You're making it very hard to write."
That is going to be the worst song ever written.
Tyler pauses in the middle of writing a word, trying to ignore Blurryface's rude remarks. The boy has somehow managed to climb up to his branch even with his bad ankle. The branch is thick enough so that Tyler can shift positions without worrying about falling.
Tyler's mind keeps returning to Josh, his purple hair, gauges, tattoos, and even his cute little nose ring. The sound of Josh's soft, comforting voice is locked in Tyler's head as he continues writing his song.
"Okay, Blurry. What do you think of this? It could start with like some sort of instrumental thing and then the phrase 'I can feel your breath.' It's just the worst, right?" Tyler mentally asks himself, expecting a rude response.
Ew. What even is that, Tyler? You should stop writing. You're not creative or talented at all.
"I thought you might say something like that. Thanks, Blurry," Tyler thinks, trying not to get discouraged.
Tyler's thoughts are interrupted by a familiar voice.
"How'd you get up there?" Josh calls from the ground.
"I actually don't really know. I just did," Tyler yells down.
"Well, do you mind if I come up there?" the purple-haired boy wonders.
"Get up here, Joshy Boy," Tyler smiles.
"So is my new nickname 'Joshy Boy?'" Josh asks as he begins climbing.
"It could be just 'Joshy,' 'Joshy Boy,' or maybe...I was thinking 'Jishwa' if your full name is actually Joshua."
Josh is already close to Tyler's branch, "Yeah, my full name is Joshua but I prefer Josh. How do you come up with these nicknames anyway?"
"'Jishwa' it is," Tyler decides, ignoring the other boy's question.
Josh reaches Tyler's branch and Tyler extends his hand to help him up. The purple-haired boy sits n the branch with his legs hanging down over the side. Tyler sits with his back against the tree trunk, facing towards Josh, with his knees supporting his binder full of song ideas.
"Hello."
"Hello."
"I like this spot," Josh remarks, taking a look around.
"Yeah, it's nice," Tyler grins at the back of Josh's purple hair as the boy takes in his new surroundings.
"How often are you out here, Jishwa?" Tyler adds, throwing in Josh's new nickname jokingly.
Josh brings his gaze back to Tyler and bites his lip, seemingly unsure of how to answer, "Uh...I'm out here a lot. I actually store my CDs and stuff in this little box I have hidden in a pretty sick hollow tree over there," the boy pauses and points to a tree that's a little further in the distance, "My mom doesn't like it when I listen to...different kinds of music..." Josh trails off.
"Oh, well...uh...where do you live?" Tyler asks, sensing that Josh doesn't want to elaborate on the music topic.
The purple-haired boy points toward Tyler's neighborhood.
"Wait, really?! You live in that neighborhood?" Tyler asks with a sudden burst of excitement, a huge grin plastered to his face.
"Uh...yeah."
"That's where I live!"
"Really???"
Tyler rips off a piece of his notebook paper from the page that he was writing on earlier. The boy jots down his address and number in messy handwriting.
"Here you go, Joshy, you should come to my house and we can listen to music. I'm a little bit of a music nerd so I have a lot of stuff on vinyl, just give me a call" Tyler suggests as he hands Josh the scrap of paper.
"That sounds sick as frick, dude."
