I grabbed the keys from our granite kitchen table and ran out the door. As I walked in the car I realized how happy everything was. All the people coming together and all the decorations make it really look like Christmas Eve.
"Hi Carri" someone said which stopped my thinking. I turned to see who it was and it was my neighbor Jim. "Hi Jim!" I replied.
" what are you doing today?"
"Other then picking up the Christmas tree and decorating. Nothing" I said staring into his dark brown eyes. Jim was always so happy especially during Christmas time sometimes to the extent where it was just plain weird.
"Wanna hear the true story of Christmas?" He said oddly happily.
" no sorry I don't have enough time." I said while backing up the truck out of our steep driveway.
"Ok bye" Jim said loud enough for me to hear.
I started thinking about why he is always so happy during Christmas, but then I got distracted realizing that I was driving by my self. So I put some music on and started dancing in the car. My phone started ringing. I knew I wasn't supposed to use my phone while I was driving, but I had to pick up it was my mom. "Hello mom" I said kind of nervously.
"Hi sweetie did you get the tree because I found the candy canes. Also hurry because they are coming in a hour." She said very fast.
   "Mom I got it okay calm down" I told her calmly.
   "I know you got it I'm just stressed for Christmas......." Her voice started drowning in the background. I could see a large, blue, rusty truck behind me with a man in it. He looked like he was in a rush. He had dark skin and black hair with a dirty white shirt. I noticed this and realized that today was Christmas Eve and everyone was rushing, but before I could finish thinking the car in front of me stopped on a highway causing us to crash. The last thing I saw was the bright red and blue flashing lights......
