Chapter 15

Chapter 15: Lexi's POV:

Walking through the school halls today was such a weird thing, not only where people buzzing because of the 'amazing' news about the Belle ball that everyone and I mean everyone where talking about but because it was also a Friday and supposedly there was a massive party being held at someone's house but I have no clue who.

School has been weird lately, I have had so many people act so weirdly to me, some people were afraid others where acting as if we were the closest friends ever yet I've never had an actual conversation with them and most of the guys where all over me.

For example, I was sitting in class and I asked, no one in particular, but the row in front of me who were all guys, and I asked one of them for a pen and they all pulled out a pen as quick as lightning. Another example I had my hands full with books and I asked if someone in this group of guys could open the door for me and they all practically raced to the door, it was quite amusing and I would have laughed if my hands weren't loaded with books.

"Lexi" someone says and I look to my left surprised to see a whole bunch of girls who seem to be 15 standing at my table all wearing pretty much the same outfit only different colours, a small crop top, a short as skirt that shows off their ass and the highest heels anyone could ask for.

"yes?" I answer more of a question.

"so are you going to the party tonight?" the tallest of all the girls asks

"maybe, why?" I ask super confused why these girls are even talking to me.

"well we heard from Suzy who heard from Kaitlyn who got told from Blaire who found out by Heath who overheard in the boy's locker room that Chris is totally into you and wants you to come to the party so that you can totally hook up with him" as soon as she says this my mouth drops, Chris, the only Chris in this school, the Chris who broke my ex-best friends heart is into me and wants to hook up with me at a party, this is probably the most hilarious thing I have ever heard.

"you got to be kidding me" I say as soon as I control my giggles.

"no, we are totes serious, so are you going?" says a super-peppy-wanna-be-try-hard

"I'll think about it, k?" I say making my voice sound super giggly just like theirs. It so fun.

The end of school finally arrived and as I was walking towards my locker that was on the complete other side of the building I get stopped in the middle of the overly crowded halls by three familiar faces; Poppy, Rachel, and Chelsea.

"so are you going to that party tonight" Chelsea asks in her fake nice voice.

"oh, I don't know" I say putting on the fakest voice even a fake smile "are you"

"Dah" Poppy says "well Chelsea is the host"

"well in that case I guess I will see you tonight, but you might not see me, I'll be a bit busy" I say giving them a wink.

"busy doing what?" Rachel says

"well you guys really should be asking who" when I say this their eyes light up.

"WHO" they say all together sounding like owls

"oh, you know him I think" I giggle out in my fake kind voice "Chris"

And with that I turn around, walk a few steps, look back at the stunned girls faces, flick my hair and I'm off.

When I get home from school I go to my overflowing closet and begin my search for the perfect outfit for tonight. I want something that will make me stand out, make me steal the spotlight off from Chelsea. Something that will make her super jealous of me, well even more jealous than she already is.

I finally find the perfect outfit. A cute red leather skirt with a black long sleeve backless bodysuit. I put on a red and black choker and knee high socks. I apply a little bit of make up; mascara, eyeliner, and red lipstick. I pull my hair into a messy half-up half-down bun and I'm ready.

I walk out of my room and down the stairs to the kitchen to be greeted with both my Mum and Dad. My Mum has an angry look on her face where as my dad is looking happily off into the distance clearly wanting to be anywhere but here. I ignore the disapproving glare my mother gives me and walk towards the fridge to heat up some leftover pizza from the other day. I pull two pieces out of the box, put them on a plate and put the plate into the microwave and I have to wait 50 seconds in complete awkward silence.

The seconds drag into minutes as I wait for my pizza to heat up. When the ding goes off I am instantly pulling the pizza out of the microwave and leaving the room. when I go to open the door, my mum raises her voice and says "where do you think you're going wearing whatever that is your wearing"

Just as I thought I was in the clear of course my mum has to ruin that. "I'm going to Chelsea's party, mother" I drag on the last word making her face turn a slightly red colour due to pure anger.

"oh, so are you two friends again?" she curiously asks

"Ew no" I say cringing "as if I would be friends with that thing ever again, I'm going to the party so I can 'hang out' with Chris"

"as in Chris, Poppy's Chris? She asks dumbfounded

"yes, mother Chris Poppy's Chris" and with that I turn around with my Pizza in hand and walk out of the door, back upstairs and into my bedroom. I sit on my bed and eat my pizza.

"Will it be bad if I like Chris? We were friends before him and Poppy dated. But didn't he like cheat on her or something. Oh, yeah he did and once a cheater always a cheater. Why is this so hard? And why am I having a conversation with myself?" I say aloud "why is life so messed up"
