*Paige's POV*
After the long ride, the car finally came to a stop as Jack pulled into a parking spot in the crowded parking lot. Madison got out of the car and, if I wasn't mistaken, took her sweet time getting out on purpose. When she finally pushed the seat forward to let me out, I climbed out quickly and adjusted my clothes, scowling playfully at Madison.
She only smirked in return then looked at Jack and smiled, "Babe, we're gonna go to the bathroom really quick before we go in." He nodded and turned to let Nathan out as Madison proceeded to drag me along behind her.
"Madison, I don't have to go to the bathroom," I protested pointlessly while following her.
She rolled her eyes and continued toward the row of portable toilets and when we finally got there she turned to me, "Spill."
I shook my head, "Seriously? Can we do this another time?" I gave her my signature big-eyed, lip-out pout that almost always helped me get my way.
She smiled sweetly at me, "Absolutely not. Tell me right now, and hurry up. They're going to suspect something if we don't get back quick."
I groaned in protest, but gave in and began, "Okay fine. So I went to the bar next to the diner after my shift last night and I had a few drinks-," Madison interrupted with a pointed look, "Okay I had more than a few. Anyway, there was this really good-looking guy there and we started talking. The next thing I know, he's waking me up this morning and I'm almost late for work."
Madison kept smiling, but didn't interrupt. I gave her a dirty look and continued, "So I got him out of the apartment and ran to work, only to have that same that same guy come in and sit in my section. And finally after a long shift at the diner, I took a shower and expected to get comfy in front of the TV all night when my crazy ass best friend-," Madison opened her mouth to object, smiling but I held up my hand, "called me and guilted me into coming to this concert. So I came along and there he is again, by some stupid prank on me by the universe, he's my best friend's brother in law."
Madison waited until I was done to shriek loudly, "You slept with Nathan!" She laughed and smacked my arm.
"You better say that a little louder, I don't think that guy over there heard you," I muttered in a whispered yell.
She just laughed, unfazed, "I can't believe your luck today. I mean, he's not bad to look at right?" I rolled my eyes and nodded. "So do you like him?"
I sighed frustrated, "Madison, I don't even know him."
She shrugged, "Well then, I guess tonight will be the perfect opportunity for you two to get further acquainted, if that's even possible," she smirked and I punched her arm lightly and she laughed.
"We better get back over there," I said and she nodded and rung her arm through mine as we walked back over to Jack and Nathan arm in arm.
Jack smiled as Madison let go of me, walked over and kissed him, and turned back to Nathan and I and said, "Alright, let's go kids."
I shook my head and watched Nathan walk over to Jack's opposite side, so I put myself on the other side of Madison to put some distance between us.
It was a fairly short walk to the small arena where the concert was, but the area was still closed off to the public so we had to stand in line and wait. After another half hour of suggestive looks from Madison, the gate finally opened and everyone filed in. We had track tickets, so Madison pulled Jack along quickly so we could get a spot close to the stage. Unsurprisingly, due to Madison's charm, we got a spot right up in front of the stage.
"See? I told you we'd be fine," Madison grinned smugly over at Jack.
He laughed and shook his head, "I guess you did," and kissed her quickly.
I cleared my throat, "That's enough of the kissing you two," I joked, smiling and heard Nathan chuckle quietly.
Madison turned and stuck her tongue out at me.
I rolled my eyes and laughed, "Ouch, I remember when your two-year-old stuck her tongue out at me once."
"Ha. You're hilarious," Madison scowled, but couldn't help but smile.
I smiled back, "So when's this concert supposed to start, huh?"
She shrugged, "Soon I think," and just then, almost as if on cue, the band came out from backstage and got ready to start.
I reached into my pocket and pulled out my ID, "I'm going to get a drink, want anything?"
"I'll have a beer I guess," Madison handed me a few dollars, then looked up at the stage as the band began to play.
I turned to Nathan, but before I could say anything he walked toward me and smiled, "I'm going with you."
I nodded, "Alright, let's go," I stepped away from him, putting enough distance between us so we wouldn't bump into each other while we walked.
