Dear Rockett,

I love your story Highly Dangerous!! It inspired me to write a short story with Rockett and the gang, I guess. I just want to apologize if I get anything wrong about Rockett or Silver or anyone. But anyways, ENJOY~

Prolouge-

~Nicole POV~

I walked up the stairs to the front doors of the normal type gym. I reached for the handle, but hesitated inches away. I squeezed my eyes shut and pulled my hand away as I turned around with a groan.

“Cheren's in there... I don't want to disturb him, or even make a fool out of myself in front of him!” I thought to myself. “Why are feelings so hard?” I mumbled to myself as I slowly walked down each set of stairs until reaching the final step. I plopped myself down on the bottom stair and put my head in my knees. With a free hand I started to draw in the dirt. Boy, do I miss Johto...

A small smile worked its way onto my face as I giggled a bit and remembered my past there. Looker and I were spies. With the help of the Ecruteak City’s gym leader, Morty of course! Morty and I have been good friends forever. Though, we started to drift apart when I moved here to Unova, and met Cheren.

As I sat on the cold step, my eyes started to droop as I began to doze off. I tend do that a lot. My smile seemed to grow as I thought of none other than Cheren himself.

The sound of a door slamming shut woke me up. I jumped slightly at the loud sound and looked around. My eyes widened as I watched Cheren emerge from the gym with a goofy grin on his face; a grin he almost never wears. His smile widened as his eyes landed on my figure.

"Oh- uh, hi Cheren!" I smiled as I struggled to get up. He reached his hand down to mine. I grabbed onto it and he pulled me up. "So what were you doing on the ground...?" He asked with a confused look on his face. I blushed slightly and looked away. Oh Arceus I need an excuse.

"Oh, I uh, I fell walking down the steps..." I kept my eyes diverted away from him as I awkwardly scratched the back of my head. "But in other news, did you get the badge?" I asked, trying to start a conversation.

"Of course I got it... Lenora was a pretty easy gym leader to beat, I guess." He said awkwardly. Oh, Arceus help me! I thought to myself as Cheren and I both stood in complete silence. Thankfully, my PokeGear rang and broke the silence. "I better take this..." I said quietly.

"Hello?" I said a bit impatiently as I took a step away from Cheren.

"Hey, Nicole! It's me Morty!” I smiled as the gym leaders familiar voice spoke. “Long time no talk, Morty!” I replied happily.

“Looker and I have a really important mission for you!” He paused briefly, “But you need to come to Johto as soon as possible!" My good friend said eagerly.

I glanced over at Cheren. I really didn’t want to leave him… I didn’t want us to become distant…kinda like Morty and I… After a moment, I brought my attention back to the Pokegear.

"Uh, ok. Two questions; one, can my friend Cheren come to help? And two, what's the mission?" I asked in a hushed voice so Cheren couldn’t over hear. I honestly think it would be pretty fun to have him as a travelling companion.

"I got two answers for you,"Morty’s voice echoed. "Yes your friend can come to help, but only if he knows how to help... This missions going to be a crazy one! We’ve heard that a girl from the Lavender Town Institute for Mentally Insane Children escaped and has been seen traveling around here in Johto. The goons from the institute are searching for her, and even sent her half-sister to help spy. That’s just wrong!  And she did nothing wrong! We need you to help her.” He finished. I nodded to myself; “Sure, I’ll do it.” I agreed.

“Oh, and she's been travelling with a special friend. You remember you're young rival Silver, right?"

“He’s the really arrogant guy with bright red hair, right?" I asked.

"Yep, he’s the one. He visited me asking for a Shuppet egg. Actually, that's a side mission for you. I want you to breed your Banette. Silver wants to give the girl a Shuppet egg. Apparently she’s a ghost type girl. But anyways that’s not the point. He's been travelling with the girl and I need you to track them and the goons down. The goons usually wear lab coats so they'd be easy to spot if you see them. Protect the group. If those goons are close, give the girl and Silver a hiding spot or tell them to run faster do whatever you can. I've heard from Falkner that she challenged him. That must mean that she will challenge me sometime. I'll protect them from there."

"Got it! It sounds fun. Lemme just ask Cheren if he wants to come!" I said cheerfully. I put on a straight face and turned to see a bored looking Cheren who was now sitting on the ground with an impatient look on his face. But honestly he still looked really cute…

"Cheren, I have a really important question that I need to ask." I sat beside him on the cold ground. I could have sworn he blushed slightly, and I bet I was too. I explained to him what Morty told me, and asked with the slightest glimmer of hope, "Will you come with me and help my quest? Please!" I begged the boy. He squinted his eyes and pursed his lips as he had his "thinking face" on, which I must say is way cuter than his impatient look.

"I'll do it!" He finally said. I sighed of relief. I wanted him to come so bad.

Not realizing my PokeGear was still on, Morty butted in, "Looks like my little Nicole has a crush! Oh, and, sounds good! I’ll see you two love birds later!" He chuckled. I blushed deeply with a groan.

“Morty!!” I whisper-screamed to him, just as he hung up quickly.

"Don’t listen to Morty!" I slurred quickly.

Cheren giggled, and I tried to hold in a girly squeal. It was the cutest thing ever!

"So, my little love-Pidgey, you ready to head off to Johto?" Cheren joked as he lightly elbowed my ribs. I bet my face was as red as a little Pikachu's cheeks.

"Definitely!" I chuckled.
