# Chailey Anderson POV #
I was sitting in cafeteria munching on my apple. Today was our first day back from our summer holidays and I was finally a senior. The summer holiday was fine, in other words I did nothing else then sit inside my house watching movies and drinking cold drinks. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking, pretty boring? Well, you’re right. I image all the other kids were with their families together at the beach or somewhere on holiday, while I’m stuck at the large mansion that I so call my home. My parents were never home as my mom, Linda Anderson, was a famous fashion designer that travelled across the world and my dad, Graham Anderson, owned a company that was pretty successful and he too, was on a world tour sorting out everything. So then there’s me, Chailey Anderson, the only heir to my parents as I was the only child. My family is pretty rich so I attend a school that rich sons and daughters attend to and it’s described as one of the most significant schools in the USA.
So as today was the first day back from our holidays the students were all very ecstatic to tell everyone what they did over the summer so the cafeteria was sparkling with excitement. I, on the other hand wasn’t talking to anyone, because I only had one friend. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not horrible or a bad person, let’s just say I’m not very good with making first impressions. However, I did have one friend, and I am grateful. Annie Bentley, how should I describe her? Let’s say she’s just full of life. She’s very bubbly and talkative and nice. Her light blonde hair fell in loose waves below her shoulders almost reaching her waist. Her eyes were bright crystal blue and her skin was lightly tanned. She was slightly short for her age and she was naturally skinny. She was the schools sweet, bubbly cheerleader. Her parents were both well-known actors. She was my only friend I ever trusted; all my other so called friends were just nasty snobs that back stabbed each other at every opportunity they got. I was so focused on what I was thinking I didn’t notice a certain blonde girl ran up next to me until I was tackled by a bone crushing hug.
“Chailey! I missed you so much!” Annie squealed over enthusiastically. She let go of me with a big smile on her face. Her hair was in a high pony tail and she had some make up on. She had her cheerleading uniform on so it meant that she just going to go to practise soon.
“Hey Annie, how was your summer?” I asked. Her face brightened up as her smile got bigger.
“Amazing! My mom, dad and I went to California. It was really sunny and warm, so we went to the beach and there were these super-hot surfers! Damn girl, you should have been there! It was so fun! So how was your summer?” she shrieked.
“Oh, you know. Sat at home all by myself watching movies! It was so fun!” I said sarcastically. She frowned and shook her head.
“You see, that’s why you should get a boyfriend. I mean I’m the only one that visits you mostly now because you’re parents barely come home because they’re always busy. So when I can’t visit you’re basically all by yourself” she said her face all serious.
“I already told you An! I don’t believe in love, it doesn’t exist. Look what happened to my mom and dad. They thought they loved each other, got married, had me, then they realised they didn’t love one another so they started arguing and they got divorced. One of the reasons they practically never come home is because they can’t tolerate looking at each other’s face. They hate each other!” I said. Annie sighed.
“Fine, do what you want!” she said, “I’m going to have to go to practise, do you want to come?” she asked. I simply nodded in reply. We were walking to the gym. Annie babbled about the latest gossip that was spreading round the school.
