Chapter IX

ELDON
     October 21, 1HD
     First District, American Region
     3:00 PM

     We're finally here at the previous spot. I think I already know the reason why Nathan forced us to join with him

     They killed our joys, and that hurts.

     "So, did they get what they needed?" said Brix

     "What do they need?" I asked

     "Have you forgotten already? Andrei waited here to know the decisions of the world leaders regarding Justin's invention, and he badly wanted an answer as soon as possible" said Brix

     "Oh. Maybe I am brainwashed by the goddess of beauty" I said

     "Really Eldon? Brainwashed?" said Nathan

     I was shocked when he said those words to me.

     "Are you listening to us, Nathan?" I said

    "Actually, the answer is no. But, your voices are too loud that I can hear your conversation" said Nathan

    We kept in silence.

    "Well, I'm sorry for that" said Nathan

    I smiled. "It's okay Nathan"

    After a few minutes, the world leaders began to go outside the rendezvous. They are walking happily.

    I look at Andrei. He is nervous and serious. His lips totally cover his teeth. He can't smile at this point.

    Even Justin. I can also see the nervousness and seriousness in his face.

    Eldon and Brix, they are smiling happily. It's like they don't mind the results. Maybe they really trust the world leaders.

    Why are they so transparent?

     Andrei's mobile watch rings.

     Andrei answered it, and Dan's holographic image showed up.

    I didn't hear what they talked about, but this made Andrei so happy.

    Andrei ended the call, and go to us.

    I felt a little bit sadness when he ended the call. Maybe because we were not able to talk to Dan, and we haven't talked for a long time.

    "Hey humans!" he said happily

    "Feels like that call brought you a very good news Andrei, didn't it?" said Eldon

    "Forget about it guys. We have to go back to our room" said Andrei

    "Fine" I said

    We went back to our room. Eldon, Andrei and I sat down on the sofa. Brix went to the kitchen, and prepared some foods to eat

    "The kitchen might be Brix's favorite place" I said

    "Yeah. Aside from being a photojournalist, he wanted to become a chef someday" said Eldon

    "As you get closer, you know more about him, ha?" I said

   Brix went to the living room, and gave the foods he prepared to us.

   "Thanks Brix!" said Andrei

    "So, are you going to tell us something, Andrei?" asked Brix

    "Oh! I almost forgot!" said Andrei

    "So, what's that?" said Eldon

    "They didn't approve Justin's invention" said Andrei happily

    "I told you Andrei! Just trust them!" said Eldon

    "You're right Eldon. It's not bad to trust people. In fact, something we didn't expect might happen through them" said Andrei

    "You're welcome!" said Eldon.

    Andrei just smiled.

     It's night time, and we're here lying on a grassland, watching the beautiful skies of American Region.

    Brix is now taking some pictures of the starry night for his travel blogs and magazines

    "Hey Andrei, I think we were like this before going here at American region, didn't we?" said Nathan

    "Yeah. The difference is, this place is quite colder" said Andrei

    I look at the sky, and I accidentally saw a shooting star.

    "Hey! Did you see that!?" I said while pointing the sky

    "See what?" asked Nathan

    "The shooting star! I just saw it!" I said

   "Hey guys! I think I just took a picture of it!" said Brix happily

   "Really!? Please let me see!" Nathan got up and went to Brix to see the picture.

   I also came to see it.

   "Woah! I'm jealous! I didn't see it" said Nathan

   "Nice shot Brix!" I said

   "I will surely put this picture to my travel magazine!" said Brix

    I look at Andrei. He is staring at us, smiling brightly.

   "I will wait to see a shooting star, too!" said Nathan

   "I wanna see more!" I said

   "Hey humans? Didn't you know the news?" said Andrei

   "What news?" said Nathan

    Brix and I are looking at him without any clue.

   "Aren't you watching news? Are you really journalists?" said Andrei

   "We're sorry" I said sincerely

   "No need for that. After planet Aphrodite earlier at 2:00 PM, later, we will be having a chance to watch a meteor shower at 12 midnight" said Andrei

   "Really!?" I asked surprisely

   "Maybe that's the reason why I really wanted to take some pictures of the starry night" said Brix.

   "I can't wait to see it" said Nathan
