Annabeth's POV:
(One hour ago)
After I got ready for the reaping, I went down to Percy's house.
" Are you ready Percy?" I yelled.
He didn't answer but came down in his reaping outfit. He looked so hot!
"You nervous?" he asked me. I thought for it and answered after a while,"A little"
" Well, may the odds be ever in your favor" he said with the capital accent.
He was so cute when he did that. I laughed and got in line to get my finger pricked. After that I headed over to where the 17 year old girls were.
The anthem started, then the video.
"Happy Hunger Games and may the odds be ever in your favor. Welcome to the 84th hunger games!" Effie announced.As usual ladies first!"
Effie walked over and pulled a name out.
"Annabeth Chase!"
Oh no! I thought. Everyone made a path for me to go onstage. I was shocked. Out of all of these people it had to be me. I was going to die.
Suddenly, a girl interrupted my thoughts as she raised he hand and yelled" I volunteer as tribute.
"Ah a volunteer, what's your name dear?" Effie asked.
I sighed in relief and stole a glance at percy. He looked really stiff.
" And now, for the boys" Effie said as she made her way to the boys' pool of names.
She held the paper up and announced "Perseus Jackson"
Oh no. First me, now Percy! He looked shocked as he walked up towards the stage.
"Percy!" I yelled, trying to run up to the stage. A couple peacekeepers held me back.
As Percy took the stage, The crowd of boys were silent, there were no volunteers.
"Well, this shall be an interesting year!" Effie exclaimed. " Shake hands dears"
After Percy shook hands with Scarlett, they took him inside for visitors.
