I sat there crying besides my mother's bed. As I sat there in a rain of tears, I could feel a soft hand stoking the top of my head.
"Oh sweet child of mine, please don't cry." Hearing my mother's words, I did the best I could. "When I'm gone I need you to stay strong and kind just as you are now."
" But mother I don't want to lose you. Your the only thing that is keeping me in this world. How will I manage without you."
"Remember what I said, and I will always be watching over you", with her final words being said, I saw the life leave her body. I continued to cry next to her till someone had to pull me away from her.
Little did I know that those word could have saved me if I believed in them.
