The Unexpected Neighbor

Prologue

"I don't care, Mom. You can now throw that away."

Her Mom flinched a bit after hearing those words.

Rinding rindi na sya sa ka-bitch-ihan nito, halos araw-araw nalang. Ni hindi nya alam kung saan ito nag-mana.

Her Dad has a business, but not that lublob type. He makes sure to have quality time with his family. He's caring, matured, and loving. In short, every girl's dreamboy. Kahit alin man sa mga characteristics dyan, walang minana ang kaisa-isang babaeng anak nya.

Her Mom, on the other hand, is a housewife. But eventhough she doesn't have a work, she'll do everything for her children and husband. Caring ito, mabait, maalaga at simple. But still, her daughter haven't got any of those good traits.

Kanino nga ba talaga ito nag-mana?

"What? Ate no! You can't just throw that away!"

"But Emman sweetie, that pathetic hand of the madungis and very ewie little girl just touched that bag."

Kung may kasundo man sya sa pamilya, ito ay ang bunsong kapatid nya. Si Emman Andrew Salonte. Tulad ng kanyang ina, caring sya, he's nice, and very, very innocent

"Ate, you're rude. Mommy just bought my school bag last week."

"I'm not rude, Emman. That just how the earth rotate. We are on a higher level compared to them-"

"Hay nako. Elle, in this world, lahat pantay-pantay-" Biglang singit ng kanyang Kuya na si Elton.

"Stop with your bullshits, Elton." Pagtataray ni Elle dito. 

"Okay kids, stop it. Now Elle, call your Kuya Emmet cuz' we're already going to eat." Ma-otoridad na utos ng Ina nilang tila naiinis na.

Umirap lang si Elle dito at sinunod ang utos nya. Umakyat si Elle sa second floor at tinungo ang pinakahuling kwarto. 

"Kakain na daw." Maikling pahayag ni Elle at saka kumatok. Pagdating sa Kuya Emmet nya, she becomes soft. Tahimik lang kasi ito at sya ang pinaka mailap sa kanilang lahat. Elle tries to make Emmet comfortable despite her attitude.

Imbis na tumungo pababa para kumain, umakyat muli si Elle sa pangatlong palapag. Ang rooftop. Tumukod sya sa railings nito at dinama ang hangin.

Tears started escaping her eyes. She misses her Dad.

Maya-maya pa, biglang nakaramdam si Elle ng matigas na bagay na nalaglag sa ulo nya.

"What the hell?!" Elle screamed and looked up to the house with a rooftop higher than theirs. "Bakit mo ko binato?!"

"Anong iniiyak-iyak mo dyan? Daming arte eh."
