Scene 1:

ALEX: Here, Scarlett put this on.
SCARLETT: Huh, what, why? Why do I need a blindfold Alex?
ALEX: Hurry up, I'll put it on for you.
SCARLETT: Why are you rushing? Where are we going?
ALEX: I'm taking you out for our one year anniversary! Let's get in the car

*Footsteps, Car door shuts*

ALEX: Let me just start the car.
*Starting car, drives off*
SCARLETT: Where are we going? Why can't you tell me? Can I at least turn the radio on?
*Music playing... Phone starts ringing*
ALEX: Scarlett! turn the music down, I need to answer this.
SCARLETT: What are you doing! If the cops see you, you're going to get a huge fine and even worse it's raining!
ALEX: No Scarlett ! It's fine!
SCARLETT : ALEX! Stop!
ALEX: Yes! Room number 3881. Yes. Yes. Yes. No. Name under...
SCARLETT: Lookout!
ALEX: Shhhhh!

*Car screeches and knocks into tree.

SCARLETT: Alex!

*Ambulance sirens.

SCENE 2: Hospital

DOCTOR 1 : Hurry up she needs oxygen now! Rush her into surgery room 14 and start immediately! Name?
NURSE 1: Scarlet Gonzalez.
DOCTOR 1: Age?
NURSE 1: 23.
DOCTOR 1: Scarlet Gonzalez, age 23, car accident. Is this right?
NURSE: Yes.

MRS GONZALEZ: Where is she? Where is my daughter?!
DOCTOR: Mrs Gonzalez, we are doing everything, EVERYTHING we can to keep her alive!
MRS GONZALEZ: What if...What if it's not enough?!
DOCTOR: Mrs Gonzalez, please calm down.
MRS GONZALEZ: Calm down? Calm down? How can I calm down when my baby girl has just been in a severe car accident. What if she doesn't make it?
*Mrs Gonzalez bursts into tears*
DOCTOR: She will make it. We are trying everything we can.
HAYLEY: Mrs Gonzalez, Are you okay? How is Scarlett?
MRS GONZALEZ: She's not okay hayley! She's dying!
DOCTOR: Alex is in ICU, he's recovering slowly. He's asked to see you.
MRS GONZALEZ: I don't really want to see him right now.
HAYLEY: It might be a good idea Mrs Gonzalez. You could speak to him about the crash. See what happened maybe?
MRS GONZALEZ: Okay, I guess.

ALEX: Mrs Gonzalez, I can't express how sorry I am for this accident! This was never meant to happen.
MRS GONZALEZ: How did it happen Alex?
ALEX: I-I-I I was on the phone confirming our booking for the hotel.
MRS GONZALEZ: That's not good enough alex. She could die, and you're the only one to blame. Do you see what you've done to her Alex! She could...she could die.
ALEX: I'm so sorry Mrs Gonzalez, I never wanted this to happen. I can't even explain how sorry i am because if she dies.. I would never forgive myself. I never wanted this to happen I was just trying to plan something nice for us.
MRS GONZALEZ: Well Alex it did and you can't do anything about it. She's dying Alex and you can't do anything about -
DOCTOR: Mrs Gonzalez, Alex, Hayley, if you would like to you can come and see your friend and daughter, she is out of surgery now . Just follow me.
*FOOTSTEPS THROUGH HALLWAY*
DOCTOR: And here we are room 1931 RS. Hayley do you mind if you have a talk to the nurse and I outside for a moment?
HAYLEY: That's not a problem Dr. 
*Door opens* *Footsteps*
DOCTOR: Hailey, I'm going to explain this to you the most simple way possible...

HAYLEY: Dr, what is it?
DOCTOR: The crash caused hayley to fall into a coma, as you know. The crash created too much head trauma and disturbances in the brain's circulatory system. The Reticular Activating System which controls the awareness in the brain isn't responding to any of the medication and doesn't seem to be budging.
HAYLEY: What are you trying to say Dr.
NURSE 1: What he's trying to say is the crash caused internal bleeding and there is no way we can stop it. There is a lot of swelling on the injured part of the brain and there is too much compression on the injured side because of the impact of the crash. To sum it up we're expecting, your friend, Scarlett Gonzalez to have just a day to live. I'm so sorry.
HAILEY: YOU NEED TO FIX THIS. MY BEST FRIEND CAN'T DIE THIS WAY. SHE JUST CAN'T, I CAN'T HAVE HER GO LIKE THIS.
DOCTOR: Hailey, I'm so sorry. We are trying everything we can and we're going to keep trying but nothing seems to be working. I understand this is extremely hard for you to hear but you have to know that with scarlett's amount of damage on the brain she's going to have to fight hard to stay alive and the odds aren't looking very good right now.
HAYLEY: I, I, I don't understand. YOU ARE DOCTORS RIGHT? YOU'LL BE ABLE TO FIX ANYTHING. A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE GOTTEN BETTER AFTER THIS. I DON'T CARE IF SHE WILL BE DISABLED. I NEED HER.
DOCTOR: Hayley, It doesn't always work like that. Everyone's case is different and we never get something as major as this to be identical to other people's experiences.
NURSE 1: It's not a quick fix like a broken leg or arm this is life threatening and the amount of people who come out of a coma this bad is very low. Right now it's up to her to survive.
DOCTOR: It really is up to her. IF she keeps fighting there is a chance she can live for a little longer and heal a little bit which could help us Majorly but right now we're just not getting through.
NURSE 1: Honey, your friend is very lucky that she is still even alive now. With the speed that the car was going and the amount of forced placed against the passenger side of the car she should have died right on the spot. There was something that seemed to be blocking the full force. Odd I know.  but she's lucky in that sense.
*footsteps*
MRS GONZALEZ: What's happening, Hayley?
DOCTOR: I'll leave you to it.
MRS GONZALEZ: Hayley... Tell me what's going on.
HAYLEY: This is extremely hard for me to explain.
MRS GONZALEZ: TELL ME NOW!!
HAYLEY: OK! *Starts crying* Mrs Gonzalez, They're expecting scarlett to have one day maximum to live. It isn't looking too good right now because there is a lot of problems with her brain.
MRS GONZALEZ: *Starts crying* Hayley, what! why? How!
HAYLEY: The impact in the crash created a lot of damage but they said that she should have died because of how she was in the car. They said that something seemed to have blocked the clear path to her head.
MRS GONZALEZ: It can be fixed! Can't it?
HAYLEY: It's not that easy. Apparently, she has a different conditions to others and her condition won't be easy to treat. They said they're still trying everything but..recovery isn't looking to good...
MRS GONZALEZ: She will! She will get better. I know my daughter better than anyone else. She is a fighter and she will get better!
HAYLEY: The doctor said that right now, it is up to her to wake up. She is in a coma and if she fights then she can wake up eventually from it but there is going to be a lot of fighting and the odds are not good on her end.
MRS GONZALEZ: Yeah I guess all we can do here is pray...
HAYLEY: Let's go head in now and we can see her.
*Door closes*
MRS GONZALEZ: Go ahead Hayley you can speak to her first.
HAYLEY: Hey Scar. I've...we've all missed you! When I found out you were in hospital, I drove all the way here. I've probably gotten a ticket for speeding... Well, that doesn't matter. I love you so much. *Starts crying* Please wake up. We need you here. I know that you can do this. We all know that you can do this.
*footsteps*
HAYLEY: Hey Alex you can go and talk to her now
ALEX: Thanks Hales.
*footsteps*
ALEX: Hey Scar. This is all my fault. I never meant for any of this to happen. I was meant to take you away to a nice resort on the beach. Why couldn't it of have been me. I should've listened to you when you told me to not answer my phone. I tried to block the force in the car to try and save you *Sniffles* a little but I don't think it worked. I love you so much, so much that I was going to propose while we were away. You can't die, you can't leave me. I
love you too much. I need you to stay alive. I need you too just try. 
MRS GONZALEZ: Alex is it ok if I speak to my daughter now?
ALEX: Sure Mrs Gonzalez. I love you Scar keep fighting.
*footsteps*
MRS GONZALEZ: Hello Scarlett. I just.. You just..You need to keep fighting okay? You can't leave any of us yet. Your a strong person and you never give up and you definitely can't give up now. We need you. I love you with all my heart. Please keep fight-
*heart rate monitor stops*
