Part 1: New Student

Highschool wasn't as pleasant as before after Joe left Michigan. I needed to face everyday challenge without him, and that was the biggest nightmare I'd experienced so far. He knew this place better than I do. He was a man with adventures and happiness while I would sit and watchibg what he did. He always made me laugh.
First day without him was none other than the very first day in prison. Might be worse than that. My long dark hair was a messed and I was intentionally did it that way. It was a symbol of how miserable my life was going so far. I still mad at Joe but I should be a little considerate on his side. I mean, his parents had getting a divorced and he needed to move on to Los Angeles to live with her mom. LA is a heaven but he still complaining about it on the phone. Ughhh!!! He should be glad.

First period was Algebra class and Ms. Emma was already appeared inside the classroom, waiting for her students to come in. I heared from Joe that she had a crushed on our principal, Mr. Jackson who had been getting married last saturday. That's sad. She should find another or she would end up being single for the rest of her lives.
I sit at my place which is beside the window. I stared outside the window and finally I could see the forest clearly. I remembered the times where Joe always bring me to the river in the forest just to tell each other our secrets. Kennedy Highschool would be better if Joe's around. I after the class has been occupied with all if the students. I took out my textbook and turned the pages as instructed by Ms. Emma. Suddenly, there's a knocked on the door. Everybody stunt with silence after a tall pale face young man entering the class. I didn't move at all. He was.....he was..ugh. He was a very...very hot looking guy. I didn't know why my palms were sweating as I saw him. His eyes are blue in colour, but not the usual blue. It was like a crystal blue. The light rays from the sun made her eyes shining....and that was a pretty sight.

Ms. Emma walked towards him and tapped his shoulder. She had told the whole class before that shaking hands with students was an old school thing, so she didn't want her students to think that she's uncool. Well, it was her point of view but for me, that would only fit for the boys.
"Class, today we have a new student from Australia. He just moved here so I hope you guys can cooperate with him and help him about anything. Hmm...so Henry, introduced yourself,".
He stood still at first but suddenly he look down and smile sarcastically. "Ehhh...well. There's nothing to introduce. You....you had done it,"he said while looking at Ms. Emma with a very nice and cute smile. The whole classroom laughed. I didn't think it's funny and I knew that everybody thinks the same way...but perhaps because of his smile and cuteness...made all of us blushed. And by blushing....we felt some kind of butterfly that tickles us and make us laugh. Why am I creating that stupid theory? I was just nervous.

"I guess you're right. So..come on. Umm...," Ms Emma's eyes were searching for free seat in the class.
"...oh! There you go. You can sit there beside Melody. Well, his friend Joe had left so u can replaced him". The whole class was staring at me like I'd made a huge mistake.

OMG! what just happen??!

I heared footsteps coming closer every second. The sound made by the chair on my right as he pulled it was enough to make my vessels explode.

"So class, let us continue our lesson,". I only looked at Ms. Emma who was writing on the whiteboard. I was blanked. My brain didn't function for a moment.

"Hey, Melody, right? Can I asked you what page should we turn on?," said the boy on my right.

Oh damn.
