Stay Calm

Anna's POV

I can't move.

My legs are killing me and my heart is beating out of my chest.

I am breathing so hard that I can't hear anything but my breath.

Breath in,

Breath out,

Breath in,

Breath out

There are still arms wrapped around me and I don't know whose they are.

I can feel there soft breathing on my neck.

I shiver.

Should I be scared?

The body is so comforting and caring.

I don't feel threatened, but what if this is a trap?

Lure me in with sweetness and then attack.

I have no other choice now but to ask.

"Who are you?", I say in the softest whisper.

There is no answer for a couple of seconds. Then, I hear in the faintest voice...

"It's John."

I turn so fast my neck hurts and I hug him. I was so happy he was here.

"What are you doing here? I thought the shadow got you?"

"It was close, but I got away by ducking behind here."

"What should we do? We are in real danger!"

"Calm down. We have to stay calm. Or he will find us."

I take a deep breath and slouch down in the corner.

"What are we going to do John? We have to save the rest of them."

"I'll figure something out but first we have to..........."

Then the shadow flew past and saw us out of the corner of his eye.

He slowly turned around and walked to right were we were.

Then before I could react he grabbed John and disappeared.

They last thing I heard was the now fading yell of John.....
