[Untitled : Chapter 5]

"Hey girlfriend! Looking forward to meet your Dad?" Natalie asked while she toyed with her lunch during the break.

"Not really, I'm sure it will be freaking awkward, and that Linda will be there too, I still kind of pissed off with her, you know what I mean. I'm going there and visit my Dad that's all and I will get out of that freaking house." Amanda replied with a bit of frustration.

"Chill chill Maddy, chill. It will be fine, want Felix to pick you up later? He don't mind." Natalie smiled like a toddler.

"Thanks for the offer, I will manage with the trips, don't worry I will be knocking at your house pretty soon." They finished their lunch and prepared to get back to work with all the sorting of books.

She paid the taxi driver and get out of the yellow cab.

Here, she was standing in front of a simple white and blue house. Amanda's mind was playing tricks on her, she walked to the doorsteps hesitantly.

They won't bite. Just press the bell. She thought.

She waited and took a deep breath as if she was unlocking a door that will explode within a few seconds. Amanda press the bell and then stepped back.

"Baby girl! You came! I thought you was not coming, I'm glad to see you." Kyle smiled as if he found his precious gem after searching for years.

Amanda felt weird and awkward. Firstly, her father used to called her 'Baby girl' when she was younger well he still called her that but as she grew up she rarely see her father much. Now hearing him using this little name, she felt a bit not use to. Secondly, he said 'I'm glad to see you." , this build up unhappiness in her, if he do love her mother and her why he had done those mistakes?

"Hi Dad, nice to meet you too." Amanda replied nonchalantly.

Kyle gestured his daughter to enter the house and she followed.

"Hi Amanda! It's great to see you again." Linda came to Kyle and greeted Amanda with a smirk.

Amanda felt awful, she could not handled the fact they were together all these years and that Linda was a aunt she used to respect but now she felt disgusted being in the same room with her.

"Hi Linda, me too." She replied.

They took their seats in the living room and Kyle announced a good news that he claimed to his daughter.

"Baby girl, well you will have a baby sister or brother in nine months time soon." Kyle looked delighted as he announced his good news.

"Oh okay." That was all Amanda could replied. A sibling, well no way even though the unborn child is innocent, she could not help but faked a smile because it was too much for her.

"So let's talk about your new school." Kyle continued.

"Dad can we chatted alone." Amanda requested.

"Okay." He replied.

"I mean seriously, alone just me and you." I looked at him and then Linda.

Then they finally get her hint.

"I will prepare the dinner." Linda kissed Kyle and smiled at Amanda knowingly then headed to the kitchen.

"Dad, I don't understand why you invited us to your house but well I'm glad to meet you, I'm not showing that I had forgive you for what you did to mum and me but I'm also want to tell you how much I miss you. I mean it really too much for me to handle. I don't understand why you did that but well, I'm still your daughter and I really hope you promise me something." Amanda told everything that she wanted to tell him.

"Sure baby girl." He replied guilty.

"Please don't hurt mum again. If you do any harm to her, I sweat I will not see and talk to you again." Amanda said seriously giving him her strict face.

"I promise." He nodded.

They carried on with the conversation more about their life and the awkwardness vanished into the thin air.

After a little catch up with her dad, Amanda felt better being with him.

Amanda was in the bathroom as she was tidy up her messy hair. She accidentally dropped her clip. Lucky, it ended up in the little bin sitting beside the sink.

She rummaged it and found the blue clip. Then a sudden urge came into her and she turned back to the bin, having a second look.

A pregnancy test kit was buried under pieces of facial wrappers.

Her first thought was of course it appeared here, since Linda was pregnant according to her father but she realized something was wrong.

The test kit's display shows that it was negative. She knew how to read the kit because in her former, there used to be some talk about this kind of stuff.

'NEGATIVE', so Linda was lying to her father about the pregnancy? Poor dad, he did not know about it, but should she tell him about the truth after what he had done to her and her mother. She was still upset with him as it was not something that someone can forgot after the impact hit one straight on the nerves.

She made her final decision and decided to leave it. She left the bathroom and she saw Linda rushing to the bathroom.

As Amanda was walking along the hallway, she felt a grip on her, she turned and saw Linda giving her an awful glare.

"Amanda, did you saw it?" She asked.

Amanda knew what she was talking about but she pretended, "What is the 'it' that you refer to?" she speak innocently.

"You know the pregnancy test kit." She whispered as if it was a top secret.

"Oh. Well so what are you going to do to me?" Amanda replied, thinking that it could be fun playing along with Linda,as she owed her a big time.

She smiled as she looked at Linda frightening face.

"Please don't tell Kyle, I'm really sorry for what I did to you and Jessica." Linda begged Amanda.

"What if I tell Dad?" Amanda smirked at her.

"Amanda Jennifer Carlisle, you won't dare, you will regret." Linda's face switched immediately to an evil one.

She rises her hand ready to give Amanda a hit.

"Wow, who are you to order me to do things to you, and who are you to hit me, my parents don't even hit me." She looked deep into Linda's eyes giving her a sharp warning look.

"It you dare, then do it, well...I guess you will be the one regret for this slap." Amanda sharpened her glare on her.

She was already prepared for that hit, as she was expect for the impact of Linda's hand, she turned and saw her father was standing in front of her blocking Linda's hand from reaching Amanda.

'Linda ! What are you doing?!" Kyle asked which sounded more like a scream.

"I... I...I..." Lisa stammered but no word came out.

"Dad, Linda was just about to hit the poor little mosquito which landed on me, see what you had done, it will be flying around your house." Amanda replied hopping her dad will buy her story.

"Oh I see. Baby girl, why don't you stay for dinner." Kyle asked, hope was sparkling in his eyes.

"Sorry dad, I can't stay for dinner, I have something on in the evening. I think it's about time to get going now." Amanda replied.

As she passed Linda who was wide eyes by what Amanda had told her father, she whispered to her, "When did I told you I am going to tell dad about that." Then, Amanda left the house leaving Linda expressionless.
