The World that Found Me

Cold, bitter cold, and Darkness. They devoured my body. I feel the waves pulling my body farther and farther from reality. Once the world lost my voice, I was forgotten and lost. No cares if I am lost but no one remembers I am alive. Yet I still fancy to be found.

I felt a hint of warmth penetrate the cold. It called to me. The depression that held my eyes shut released. The rays of hot blinding sun, and the surrounding silence beckoned me to rise. I felt hot gains of sand at the finger tips. Thousands of small and large items surrounded me. Books, clocks, metals, keys, and gadgets. They seemed lost but at peace.

I bright shine caught my eye, it was unstoppable that I stood and walked to it. The walk was painful. My body was sore, my head was pounding, and the tips of my vision blackened . Yet I pushed forward. When my destination was reached I found a small, old, stop watch. My old stop watch, but I had lost it years ago, when a couple of girls threw it in the river.

I knew where I was! The island of the lost!

Hysterically I laughed, " They lost me, the world lost me! "

The minute people stopped caring if I was alive. When they all forgot my name. When I stopped faking my happiness to fit in. The waves tugged and tugged till my mind became lost in it's body. Ha, serves them right, They will never know what I had to say, what I could have to done. They will never know the secrets of the soul lost to the world.
