It was a cold and lonely night in the streets of Moscow, thinking that this is probably the first time you ever had a peaceful night. Since being a mercenary for the last 10 years you have been fighting a war that is not yours to fight,all those sleepless night, and traumatic experience you've been through. And a thought came up to your head that you're done no more fighting no more seeing your comrade die right before your eyes,the thought of it calms you down. But as you were walking an explosion went off not far from where you are, out of panic everyone around you is running to avoid the explosion. And then suddenly "BANG!" an explosion went off right at the building in front of you, after that it was just a sound of gun fire all over the place as you began to lose consciousness.
You woke up with a headache as you try to get up and look around, you stood still seeing countless of bodies laying in the sea of blood and thinking to yourself "God damn it, when will this shit ever ends?". Then a you hear foot steps coming from behind you, you quickly run towards a hidden alley just a few meters away.When you got to the alley you see a dead soldier with a full body armor and gun, you take off the armor and the gun from the dead soldier as you put on the armor and checked the gun for its ammo. "Overwatch" says the paint on the gun, not caring you carry on with the equipment you just got and move on trying to get out of this hell.AS you went full stealth mode and try not to get spotted by the soldiers in black, you stay in the shadows. "What the fuck?!" as you see a person in a black hood wearing a skull mask just reaping through the soldiers that have the same outfit as the guy that you got your gear from, shooting them one by one with the double shot gun and none of the bullets seems to hit him. " Is he even a human?" you ask yourself that question, just as you thought things couldn't get any weirder a monkey suddenly springs out of nowhere and attack the guy in the black hood. In the mist of the confusion you make a break for it , when you were running a gun shot was heard and a blue streak pushed you over to the side to avoid the bullet. A girl with a British accent ask " are you alright love?, an inch more and your head would be blown to pieces"as she laugh "yeah, kinda" you answered awkwardly. Then she blink away to start shooting at the sniper, you sit there with a weird face and say " first a a guy in a hood that looks like the grim reaper than a monkey and a British girl who can blink?! what's next an angel?!!". As you were saying that a women in an angelic clothing come running toward the wounded and start healing them," you got to be kidding me!". While she was healing the injured and unaware of her surroundings, a soldier in black sneak up behind her. With out hesitation you shoot the soldier right in his head while running and asking to the angel "are you okay?" before she answer your question she screams " BEHIND YOU!". The soldier in black was about to stab you in the back but your Self-defense reflects kicks in and deflect the attack and slamming him to the ground then knocking him out cold."Nice move, where did you learn that?" she ask " I was born with it" you answer trying to show off to the beautiful angel. "LOOK OUT!" as you heard a scream behind you, you turn around to see who it is and the British girl was dangling in the edge of the building. Then "BANG!" a bullet went straight to your chest knocking you to the ground, after that it was a darkness and coldness that surrounds you.
You dont know what happen after you got shot, for all you know that's the end of the line for you but somehow you survived like you always do. you're now laying in a hospital bed as you open your eyes you hear a voice saying "Thank God you're awake we almost thought we lost you there"says the angel."where am i?" you ask "where at Overwatch HQ, don't worry you'll be safe here" she answer . "overwatch??" "yeah the world's best soldier gather up and created overwatch" she replied. "oh,it's you guys with your fancy toys,and gadgets. I've been paid to steal a couple things from you" you said trying to be funny, She just stood there with a confused face " i'm a mercenary, well was" you said in a sad but relieve tone. "so you did huh? i could call on a whole squad to arrest you if i wanted to"she said with a smirk on her face "I appreciate if you don't do that" you said "Then join us! i see what you're capable of, help us fight for peace!" she replied "And what if i don't?" you ask " I'll have you arrested for stealing our property and you'd be in jail for 10 years" She replied with a evil smirk "it doesn't look like i have a choice" you reply while getting your self out of bed and say "when should i start?". " Before that tell me your name" she ask " (Y/N),and yours is?" you reply "Angela, but they usually call me mercy" she answer.
A few Months passed after you join Overwatch, with every mission you started to get to know everybody and grew closer to them each day especially mercy. You felt a connection between you and mercy since you both has been talking and doing a lot of things with her, and you come to a realization that she different from the other girls you have known. You suddenly got this fear , the fear of losing her that one day that she might leave you and when that day comes you certainly will lose your will to live. As you both sat down at the bench at the top of the hill looking at the view of the ocean.
"(Y/N), hey are you okay?" Mercy asked
"Yeah i'm fine, just have something on my mind" you said in a sad tone
"what is it?" Mercy asked
"It's nothing , you don't have to worry about it" you said with a forceful smile
She grabs your face and with a straight face she said " of course i am worried, tomorrow you're going on a mission and i don't want you to get distracted"
"I'm scared Angela, i'm scared that i won't be able to protect you since we're on a different team.The thought of losing you is killing me, because then i don't know what my life is going to be with out you" you say that as you put your face against her shoulder.
"you don't have to worry about a thing (Y/N), I promise i won't do anything reckless."as she looks at you "But promise me , you'll come back alive.you're not the only one who have that horrifying thought"
"Promise" after you said that she pull your face closer to her and you both began to kiss .
"I love you (Y/N)" she said smiling " I love you too my angel" you replied.
