Prologue

I screamed in pain as he stomped on my right shin. It hurt so much. I knew he broke it. I just knew it. But I wouldn't be going to a hospital anytime soon.

"Shut up!" He yelled at me, placing his right hand on my cheeks, squishing them so my lips were puckered out, and raised me to him. "Shut up, Addison."

He frightened me. I had to be quiet. I didn't know what he was going to do!

So as tears soaked my cheeks, and his fingers, he set me back down roughly. He wiped his hand on his pants and turned to the cellar door.

"I'll be back to give you your dinner, Addy," His voice was menacing, and I was afraid he would poison it or something.

He opened the door and walked out. He closed the door behind him and I heard a bunch of locks lock right as the door shut.

I cried silently, afraid he might come back and hurt me again.

What did I do to deserve this?

Why am I the One stuck down in this cellar?

Chapter 1-Follower

Addison

"Addy! C'mon! We're gonna be late!" Louis, my best friend, called from downstairs.

"Hold on!" I yelled back.

"We don't have time to hold on, Addy. Just leave your hair down. Let's go," He said, now beside me in my room. I was putting my cherry red hair (dyed) up in a ponytail. I just left it down and grabbed my over-the-shoulder bag and followed Louis out.

"Where're you two going?" My mum asked. "It's not a school day."

"We're going to a concert, Mum," I answered.

"What concert?" She questioned.

"Ed Sheeran," Louis responded this time.

She raised her eyebrows, "Alright. Addison, come straight home after it's over."

"Yes, mother," I nodded, then Louis and I ran out to his car.

Louis' car was like the oldest thing ever. It was a gray Volkswagen Beetle. It was kind of rusty, too. But it was an awesome car. Louis and I had made so many memories in it and with it.

Louis had electric blue eyes, short brown hair, and an amazing personality. We've been best friends since we were five. Today he had his signature outfit on (since he's in One Direction and all).

I have emerald green eyes, cherry red her that use to be blonde and was below my shoulder blades, and Louis says I have an amazing personality, too. I don't have a car yet, but I will soon. Today I was wearing a black camisole with a Jean jacket, blue skinny jeans, and black biker boots. My over-the-shoulder bag was black and had little colourful pin on buttons on the strap and bag.

"Here you go m'lady," Louis opened the passenger door for me.

"Why thank you kind sir," I responded and got in. I sat on the repaired, gray seat and buckled the black seatbelt over me as Louis shut the door. I set my bag in the middle of the connected seat. Louis then got in the driver side, buckled, and started the car.

"Why don't you go back to your original hair colour?" Louis asked me as he pulled out to the street.

"You like my natural hair colour?" I looked at him.
