(Y/n)'s POV
You were a very likable person. You weren't overly excitable but you weren't overly subdued either. You were almost always patient and calm, since you kind of had to be. You volunteered at a local pet shelter, and often took in pets when it got crowded. Both your parents were allergic to most pets, but they weren't even home most of the time. You were still pretty young to be left alone at home for this long, but it didn't bother you too much. Today you were riding your bike down to the shelter at five in the morning, a bag of supplies in your basket. You'd gotten a call earlier, saying that there was a "difficult case" at the shelter involving a cat. You stopped at the shelter, locking your bike to the bike rack. You grabbed your bag, heading inside. "Hello, Abby. You called me down here?" You asked the receptionist. She was also a volunteer, a high schooler in her senior year. "Yeah. We picked up a stray last night, but it doesn't want to have anything to do with us. You always seem to be able to handle stuff like this, so I called you down." She replied. She led you around the desk, and towards a door. It was closed and locked. "So, I'll let you in here for five minutes, and then I'll check on you. Deal?" She said, and you nodded. "Alright, when I open the door, don't let it out. The last thing we need is this guy getting loose and wreaking havoc through the shelter." Abby told you. She unlocked the door, and you slipped inside. Instantly you were met with feline growling. You turned, your eyes meeting with a cat. It didn't look too happy to see you. You saw a tag dangling from a ribbon around its neck, and you caught a name printed on it. The cat's name was...
