Library Serenity

Part 1

Setting: the upstairs area of your local library. It is 9:30 am and you just got your favorite coffee drink from the cafe downstairs. Today it is made exceptionally well, the taste is on point and it makes you feel so blissful. You are looking out the windows at the surrounding area, watching busy people rush around.

You walk past endless rows of bookshelves until you reach the quiet little area by the big windows with custom made couches specifically meant for endless comfort. You sit down and sip your (selected coffee drink) happily. It softens you to the core. A man comes near you. He has bright emerald eyes and chocolaty brown hair. He glances at you then smiles a cheshire smile and sits next you. There is plenty of room for him to sit away from you but he chose to sit there and you have no objections. He stares out the window and sips a drink. You identify it as a mocha latte. There is an elegantly drawn leaf inside. It looks so fluffy. He notices you staring at his drink and he smiles more.

"Is something the matter?"

You blush and shake your head. "N-no, sorry I was just admiring the look of the coffee. " You look back outside. A bird lands on the windowsill and chirps at you. You smile and it cocks its head then chirps again. The man watches you then chuckles.

"You're cute when you smile." He says softly. You flinch, almost spilling your coffee.

You look at him and realize he is kinda cute too. You blush darkly. He shifts to look at you.

"My name is Okita Souji." He says. You bow your head.
"My name is (y/n)" He nods and smiles.

"Nice to meet you."

There were a few moments of silence then he asked what your favorite coffee was. You told him and he smiled.

"As you might have already figured out, I love mocha lattes."

You two spent 2 hours connecting then finally he said, "I have to run home quick, will you be back around 12:30?"

"Yes. We will meet here again?"

"Yup!" he stood and smiled at you then handed you a piece of paper and left.

You looked at it. It was a phone number. 949-535-4084. You texted the number.
