The scene fades in as a boy sits in his room, a hand gripping at the brown locks that lay on his head. Emerald eyes staring at the floor.

Jake's POV

I could still feel the tingling sensation on my lips, my hand that was gripping my hair was now pressed against my bottom lip. A sign escaping them as they rested against my lap. I leaned back against the back of my bed frame. Bringing my knees up to my chest.

What would they think if they saw this...? I thought over and over again.

It has been a couple of weeks since Dirk and I first kissed. Ever since I have seen a new side of him. He is sweeter and speaks more softly towards me. He would always have to leave to go back, and whenever he did he looked sad, it always left a pain in my chest.

One night I sat on the window ledge of the abandoned house I was camping in. I held onto the handle of my pistols looking at the dark sky above. Sighing I spoke to myself "I hope Jane and Jade are still alright"

"Don't worry they are fine~" I herd a voice quickly shooting my head around gun pointed as I looked at the person behind me. His blonde hair almost glowing in the dark room. "Jesus Christ, you scared me" I let out the breath I never noticed I was holding. He walked towards me and leaned his back against the wall beside me, removing his triangle shades before he spoke "you are worried about Crocker and Harley. They are fine, Lalondes are just messing with them, doubt anything will happen." He paused looking down at me "and I'm sorry I scared you, it's just my nature. Plus I love seeing that little scared look~" he purred slightly at he end. I lightly punched his arm, him faking to be hurt. I loved round sitting normally, my legs hanging over the edge as Dirk sat next to me. He rested his arm behind me to hold himself up. And as my habit I leaned against his side.

This has been happening for the past few months. He would appear at night and we would talk, or just sit in silence for hours on end. It was comforting and, even though it may sound strange I felt comforted by his presence. I have lost everyone I my life, but having someone care about me was nice. Even if that person was technically supposed to be my enemy.

"So..." I said my voice trailing off as my hand trailed over the handle of my pistol. "Something you wanna tell me English?" He said as I felt him move slightly, his arms wrapping around me ever so slightly. I shook my head as I looked down at the gun, he turned more to face me and tilted his head down to look at my face. I felt his finger press against my chin as he turned my head towards him. His amber eyes meeting my green ones. "You sure?" He asked, I couldn't focus properly on what was going on. Suddenly I the thoughts in my head spilled out of my mouth. Three words that left a large silence between us.

"What are we?"

The silence made me feel tense as we just looked at each other. Dirks hand moved away from my chin as he scratched the back of his neck, leaning away from me. I looked back down and nervously laughed "it doesn't mat-" I was cut off as he spoke "what do you want is to be?"

I turned my head to look at him, he looked at me, his face unreadable. I felt my chest tighten as I gripped onto the fabric of my shirt. "I-I'm not sure..." I felt my voice shake as my hands shook I felt him wrap his arms around me as I leaned into his embrace. My arms wrapped around his neck. I felt him tense up, but soon relax into the hug.

There was another silence enveloping us but this time, it was a comforting one. The only sounds I could hear was my heart and his. Dirks heart was beating fast, faster than mine anyway. Suddenly I heard noises outside the window and the two of us quickly pulled away. Both our visions turned to the outside world. Whilst I never saw anything I heard Dirk growling lowly next to me "Dirk?" He stayed silent.

I tensed up as I focused on the outside. Suddenly I felt dirks hand grip onto mine. I turned to face him as he squeezed my hand. His eyes focused on some boxes that lay outside. "I'm sorry..." he said as he pulled his hand away from mine standing up. "Everything alr-" I was cut off as me spoke. His voice sounded angry, but was also laced with panic "I need to go. Sorry" and just as quickly as he spoke. He left, I was alone in the darkness. I looked outside. "What did he see?" I spoke aloud just as I saw a figure move from behind the boxes and quickly vanish into the night.

"Who...who was that?" I felt uneasy and left the window walking back into the dark room. I felt as if someone was around here watching me. My eyes trailing around the room to find I was alone. But my heart said otherwise as I found it racing. Placing my hand over it a gripped the fabric. My other hand tightly holding onto the handle of my gun.

The scene fades as a small brunette walks to the corner of the room. Back to his bed sitting down. His hand still deathly tight on the pistol as he lays down for a hopefully peaceful sleep.
