One

Carter's POV:
I sit with Warren at our table. He gives me a kiss before glaring at someone. As I look at that someone, I recognize my cousin. I glare at him too.
Stronghold looks at us, then back to his friends.
" Is it me, or are those two really looking at me?"
One of the boys looks at us.
" Dude, that's Warren Peace and Carter Stronghold."
The girl in green widens her eyes.
" That's Warren Peace and Carter Stronghold?"
" Who?"
" Well one, Carter is your cousin. Your dad put Warren's father in jail and Carter's mother."
I don't pay attention to what they say next. When they're done talking, I turn Warren's head to face me. I smile at him.
" Warren, Baby, you need to blow a little steam off."
He smirks.
" So do you Babe."
I kiss him and he kisses back. We used to get detention for PDA but Principle Powers gave up.
After school, we headed back to his place. I literally moved in. My dad doesn't care and his mom doesn't care.
" I bet Stronghold got Hero. At least we have powers instead of a popular father."
Warren laughed at that. He nodded on agreement.
" You two are home. How'd it go?"
Our smiles dropped.
" My cousin's there."
Willow, Warren's mom, frowned. She hugged us, knowing that we hate him. After dinner, Warren heads to work. I go to our bed and fall asleep.
The next day, Warren and I head to school a little late. I woke up when he got home. Lets just say, we didn't get a lot of sleep. Realize, we are soul-mates. That only happens with supers.
   A few weeks later, we finally got working. It was finally lunchtime. I sat next to Warren as he read his book. I turn his head towards me and kiss him. He kisses me back as I move onto his lap.
   Suddenly food flies over us. We pull apart and stand up. We glare at Stronghold.
  " Look, I'm sorry."
  " You will be."
   He looked at us in fear.
  " Look we don't have to do this.
  " You think you can do anything because your name is Stronghold."
  " I'm sorry my dad put your mom and your dad in jail..."
  " Nobody talks about my father, or Carter's mother."
   Warren grabs his shirt and burns it. Both of us set our hands on fire. We start to fight. Will hides under a table so Warren jumps on it. He throws fire to the sides.
  " Where's your sidekicks sidekick."
   Four people step out.
  " We're right here."
   We look at them and light most of our arms on fire. Warren's about ready to throw fire at them when Will lifts up the table.
  " Leave them alone!"
   Out if shock, our flames go out. He throws the table. This causes Warren to hit the ceiling and fall on a table. I turn to my cousin.
  " You're going to regret doing that."
   I light my arms up, fire covering all. I walk up to him and he throws me through a wall. I get really mad now. So does Warren.
  " You think I can't take a hit?!"
   We run at him with our arms covered in fire. He pupils off the top of a fire extinguisher and it pushes me to the ground. I hit my head and groan.
   Warren's at my side in an instant. He would glare at my cousin but he's focused on me.
  " Carter? Carter are you okay?"
   I sit up slowly to see Principle Powers. We're taken to the detention room. Warren tried to set his arms on fire, but it didn't work.
  " The detention room forbids you from your powers. Only telekinesis works. Ms.Stronghold, I will find out if you use it."
   Then she talks about helping us with our powers. Whatever. I sit on Warren's lap and kiss him.
  " What is with you two? You're always kissing."
   I roll my eyes and face my cousin.
  " You ever heard of a soulmate?"
   He nods. I point between Warren and I then go back to kissing Warren. His tongue runs along my bottom lip so I allow him entrance. Our tongues dance together in sync.
  " Please tell me you won't be doing that the entire time."
   We don't even pause. When we get home, Willow is glaring at us.
  " I was hoping you wouldn't get detention for a little while longer. The last time, it was because you two were kissing in front of everyone. Now you were in a fight?"
  " My cousin started it. He made it worse by throwing Warren into the ceiling. Then he threw me through a wall. Then to the ground."
   Willow's gaze softened.
  " Are you two alright?"
   We nod.
  " I think we're going to take a shower."
   Willow nods and we head upstairs. Once we get in the shower, Warren pins me to the wall and kisses me.
  " God you're beautiful."
   I blush and kiss him back. Our arms set on fire as things go farther. It always happens.
   Thank god the next day is a weekend. When I wake up the next morning, I feel my hand burning. I looked to Warren to see him holding his hand.
   The burning grows. This causes me to groan. I look at my hand to see it glowing.
  " What's going on?"
   Not too long after I say that, it stops. We look at our hands to see tattoos? We have the same one. Then Willow comes in. She sees our hands and smiles.
  " You got you marks."
  " Our what?"
   She sighs.
  " Only mates get them when they fully connect."
   We nod, still a bit confused. I then look at the time. 11:12 am.
  " Great, we're late for school."
   Warren laughs.
  " Carter, it's the weekend."
  " Yay! To the food!"
   Warren picks me up and takes me downstairs. We see Willow setting out plates with eggs and bacon on them.
  " There's a change of plans. I won't be back until after your homecoming. You will have the house to yourselves so try not to burn anything down. I need to leave, but I'll see you soon."
   We wave goodbye and start eating. When we're done, we head to the lake. Our weekend was very unexciting.
   When school started up again, we found out the Stronghold was moved to Hero. I sigh hoping we don't have any classes with him.
