how is it?

i want to know how your lips feel
when they brush against mine
a mere brush is all i ask for
to know if they feel like heaven
and hurt like hell to be away from

i want to know how your hand feels
knowing it's not a platonic action
if it feels alive like im holding the sun
or if it feels calm and at home
like the ocean waving at the sand

i want to know how it feels to hold you
to feel your heartbeat, your body
every inch of it fuzzing with warmth
and every inch of it full of light,
how lucky i would feel.

i want to take you on walks
to high and windy places
just to see your hair wave back
to the mountains and the clouds
as they struggle not to smile

i want to listen to your favorite songs
and listen to you talk about them
telling me you wish you could sing them
but as cheesy as it is,
my favorite song is your voice

i want to take you to old bookstores
the ones old sweet ladies own
and spend hours looking around
feeling so at home and calm
like the entire world was good.

i want to know so much about you
like if you wish reincarnation was real
and if so, what were you before?
and why, out of everything you chose that

i want to know what it feels
to be the first you tell about your days
to know every little detail you care to tell
to hear the news that made your day
or the ones that broke your heart.

i will never forgive the world,
for making things so strange and harsh
you don't deserve anything of that
i wish everything was as good as you
so soft and warm.
