"Supper's ready!"
Mom shouts.
"Coming!"
I yell back. I head to the kitchen and take a seat at the table.
"Where's Zak?"
She asks.
"Probably still playing his stupid war game. How long has he been on it? Like 5 hours?"
I answer.
"Pretty sure he's been on there for more than 5 hours."
She says sarcastically. My dad arrives.
"Hey everyone!"
He kisses my mom.
"Mmm..."
He says looking at what my mom made for supper.
"Looks delicious!"
"Thank you honey! We're just waiting for Zak!"
She tells him.
"Zak, come eat before it gets cold!"
She yells.
My brother finally gets upstairs. He sits right beside me and pushes me off my chair to sit himself on it instead.
"OUCH! Your such a jerk!"
I say to him.
"Stop whinning, little sis!"
He replies. Zak is my older brother. He's 16 and I'm 15. But sometimes he just acts like a 4 years old.
When everyone's finally at the table, we start eating.
"So, how was your day,honey?"
Mom asks dad.
"Pretty good. When I arrived at Cegep, there was snow everywhere. I think they forgot to shuffle the snow!"
He says.
Yeah, my dad goes to Cegep. He's 40 but looks like 30 and acts like 20. He returned to do something he really enjoys doing.
"Will and I finished this big project we were working on. What about you guys?"
He says.
Will. William. Sometimes I wish I could forget his name. I have a hopeless crush on him, even though I have no chance with him. He's my dad's best friend. He's 22. But the age doesn't count. That's what I thought before. Before everything messed up. It all started a year ago.
