Chapter 4~ Harry

So today was the first meeting with Kennedy about our ‘fake’ relationship; to be completely honest I was sort of nervous, I mean what happens if this goes out of proportion and something happens? What if the paps find out and then management… I really need to stop overthinking. Kennedy walked in wearing skinny jeans with boots and pink shirt- her hair up in a messy bun. She looked tired, as always.

“Morning” I said to her as she sat down next to me. She flashed me a smiled and turned her attention to John and the rest of management.

“So today you guys go public, I don’t care how you prepare for it.” John started and I heard Kennedy scoff. I turned to look at her.

“Good morning to you too” I heard her mumble to John- who seemed oblivious to the fact that she just did that. I smirked and I saw her smile at me.

“So where do we go for our first date?” she asked leaning her elbows on the table.

“You can go out for dinner, or go to a movie, I don’t care just make it look believable- Kris Jenner is riding up on my ass and it’s making me angry” and with that John stormed out and went to go and find Spencer.

Poor Spencer.

Anyway.

I looked at Kennedy as she took out her phone from her white Guess bag and she looked up at me.

“So how do you want to do this?” she asked and I looked at her.

“Do you want to go and get coffee?” I asked and she nodded. I stood up and held the door for her.

“Thank You” she said and I smiled at her.

“Do you want to take separate cars or do you want to drive with me?” I asked her

“Why don’t I drive with you to make it more believable that we’re dating” she said and I led her out to my car. I opened the door for her and she got in. I then jogged to the other side and got in.

“So…” I said as we started to make our way down to Starbucks “Tell me about you”

“That’s a pretty broad question don’t you think?” she said quirking an eyebrow up at me. I smirked at her as I drove into a parking spot in front of Starbucks. We both got out and I held her hand like it was the most natural thing to do and led her inside.

We both sat down at a table after we ordered our drinks and I finally got to see what color her eyes actually were. They were a hazel color. It suited her.

She held my hand across the table as I saw a couple of fans walk in and she looked me in the eyes.

“Well,” she started off “I grew up in Manhattan, New York. I grew up with a brother and a sister. James and Madison; James is 16 and Madison is 10. My dad left us when I was 10, he got into a fight with my mum. Then my mum died when I was 17”

“I’m sorry” I said and she shook her head.

“It’s fine” she said waving her hand as she took a drink of her latte “I’ve gotten so many condolences in the past 2 years that I just don’t care anymore. I miss her everyday though, she always told me whatever I do or whatever happens, you have to be strong. My brother and my sister live with my aunt in Holmes Chapel and my dad still lives in New York, last time I heard”

“You said your brother and sister live in Holmes Chapel right?” I asked her as my eyes lit up.

“Yup, they go to school there and I visit when I can- which is like every other weekend” she answered me.

“That’s cool- my mum and sister live in Holmes Chapel” I told her and her eyes widened.

“Really?!” she asked “That’s so cool”

I chuckled at her enthusiasm and she smiled at me.

“So when do you go back to work?” I asked her as I sat back in my chair- never braking eye contact with her.

“Tonight at 10” she said and I looked at her in amazement.

“How do you do it?” I asked her and I figured she knew what I was talking about.

“Lots of coffee with like tons of sugar and energy bars” she said chuckling “plus, I get to sleep at the hospital and what not”

I nodded my head and looked at her “You’re different- like you don’t act like a sophisticated doctor when you’re around people your age, but I figure once you get into the hospital you’re a total different person”

“You’re smart Styles, you know that?” she said to me as she leaned forward “If acted like a sophisticated doctor everywhere, I wouldn’t make and friends. Plus I can’t be the person I ‘am in the OR. I have to be focused and not like lost teenager”

I nodded my head and I looked at the time. It was noon.

Shit.

I had to get back to the Studio. I caught her looking at me and I think she knew I had to be somewhere.

“Studio?” she questioned and I nodded. She smiled and stood up; she threw her cup away and waited for me by the door. I slung my arm around her shoulder and guided her toward the car. Sadly for us there were paps and the timing was just perfect.

They started to shout out random things like ‘Is she your girlfriend?’ or ‘Who‘s the lady Harry?’ I chose to ignore everything as I led Kennedy to the car. Once in the car I looked at her to see if she was ok.

“How do you deal with all of this?” she asked looking at me as I drove off and back to the studio.

“You kinda just do” I told her shrugging.

Once back at the studio I gave her a hug and let her go.

“What are you doing know?” I asked before we parted ways.

“Going home and sleeping” she said to me and I chuckled at her. I then leaned in and pecked her on the cheek.

“Just adding more to play the role” I winked at her cheekily and she winked back to my surprise.

“You can’t be the only one being cheeky” she said and waved ‘bye’ to me as she walked to her car.

I sighed as I watched her drive off and realized that I really liked her personality and don’t get me wrong about her body.

A shrill voice brought me out of my thoughts and I groaned.

I totally forgot about her.

I Had a snow day today so i got to write my chapters for this book. SO i posted 'Playing For Keeps" go read and vote and comment on what you guys think of the book!!
