This is my entry for the Textrovert One-Shot contest for the book The Cell Phone Swap/Textrovert by the outstanding, DoNotMicrowave

What do you think would happen if Talon and Keeley hadn't actual swapped phones that day?

"Hurry up, Keeley, I really want to go on." Keeley's best friend, Nicky, shouted to her from the line she was waiting on to ride the Ferris wheel. Today is the last day of the town fair before they close up and move on to the next destination. It closes in twenty-five minutes and she promised Nicky they would get to go on the Ferris wheel before it does so.

Keeley rummaged through her purse, dropping chocolate wrappers and tissues while doing so, "Hold on!" She shouted back to her, loud enough Nicky could hear her. "I know I put it in here somewhere," She muttered.

"What's taking so long?" Nicky questioned. The frustration was obvious in her voice, but Keeley needed her phone. It has all her secrets and personal belongings on it.

"I can't find me phone, Nicky." Keeley replied. You could hear the panic in Keeley's voice as she continued to rummage through her bag.

"Did you leave it somewhere?" Nicky asked.

Keeley stopped and thought about the last time she had her phone today. "That's it!" Keeley shouted, realization dawning upon her. She picked up her bag and turned to face Nicky with a sheepish smile, "Can you, by any chance, wait a few minutes?" She questioned.

Nicky sighed and rolled her eyes, "You really need to be more responsible with your stuff." she answered, "Go on." she added shooing Keeley off.

Keeley quickly ran off into the direction she last remembered leaving it with a happy smile on her face—assuming she was going to retrieve her own phone.

"Be quick!" Nicky shouted, annoyed. Keeley ran faster until she finally reached the destination of where she last saw it. Her eyes wandered the area a few times before she noticed a small, black object on the table.

"Found it." She muttered thankfully, clutching her beloved phone to her chest. Keeley turned on the screen to make sure it was definitely her own phone and her mouth formed a scowl when it revealed something she was definitely not expecting—a tall, skinny, bikini model, lying on the hood of a red car.

"Totally not my pho—" Keeley started, before being interrupted by angry shouts in the background.

"This is not my phone! Where the hell did you put?" The tall, muscular, blonde haired teenage male shouted at the younger girl, who looked half his size.

"I thought that was yours." She replied, her voice coming out in a shaky mumble.

He turned the screen on and aimed it to her face, "Does this—" he paused "—look like my phone to you?" Keeley's mouth went from a disgusted scowl to a large gasp. It was a selfie of Keeley's tutor as her lock screen, who she may or may not have a major crush on.

Before the appealingly young girl could answer Keeley cut in, "Um," she began before being interrupted by the angry male.

"What the hell do you want, Mom?" He snapped, turning to face me. Although he was angry—he was cute, his blonde hair was ruffled and his cheek bones were high and defined. He had a slightly crooked nose, but the fact that he wasn't perfect made him look a whole lot better.
