"This is where I keep my books and music records. You may have this room as it is the only one with any furnishing. Normally Camry sleeps here but today he will be at his family cabin," he said matter of factly

"I thought I was going to the library in town, but where will you sleep?" I asked, "I don't want to push you out of your home."

"Nonsense, vampires can smell you too. Zane made sure to remind us of this fact so the alpha decided you were going to stay here. I'll be with Camry, so the accommodations will be fine."

"Also, I know that your new here but if your mate is in this pack just hurry up and mate with him."

I turned my head, blood filling my cheeks and neck

"Don't get the wrong idea but the sooner you are pregnant then the sooner your heat will end."

"Don't be alarmed by any howls or answer any scratches at the door, every unmated male of age in the pack will come after you so being with your mate will be safer than being alone."

"Water will help muddle your scent so bathe in it often, keep all of the doors locked, and try to ignore your wolf, block her out if you can."

"Why would I need to ignore my wolf?"

"Because she will try to convince you to open the door, a pup and mate are what she desires the most right now she will go on a tirade, even speak lewdly, as long as she can get what she wants." He spoke in a low tone

He then gave me a tour of the room, a king-sized bed with attached bookshelves on either side

"And here is the bathroom, as you can see we have six blocks of ice in the bathtub, it should last the entire week and we have multiple towels for the aftermath."

I didn't even want to think about the aftermath, I would be missing my first chance at childbirth but maybe it was for the best no matter how much my heart constricted at the thought

At exactly twelve, my skin ignited, The frigid air was a welcoming touch to my burning skin, rushing to the bathroom I filled the tub, letting the cold water envelop me, my femininity pulsing as time dragged on.

Ugh, And this was only day one, I slumped further into the water, from a distance howls of yearning could be heard.

"So they've caught my scent already huh."

They may have gotten our scent but it will affect our mates more

Yes, mates, I sense them yet I do not know them, they will come for us as our heat progresses, I will make sure they do, let's get out.

"But the tub is so friendly and cool."

Maybe but the water muddles our scent and that's not what we need, it would be better to let them find us and be seeded

Our stability is what matters, do you want some unknown male bursting through and taking our fertility? Our heat ends on the seventh day and this is the first day, it will only get worse until we mate, pups are just a natural part of it

With a pup it'd be harder to kick us out or abandon us, the males will not let us go rogue with their progeny in our womb

I pulled myself out of the soothing water and the heat returned with a vengeance and although it was painful she was right. As much as I felt like an outcast. These men are my only refuge, not only that but this will happen every four months, how long could I be on the run before my next heat overtakes me, pregnancy only lasts twelve months, plenty of time to settle into a pack.

It was only the fourth day of her heat and even border control broke ranks to rub against Myu's home. Even my mate's normally kind face strained with jealousy,

"Goddess is her wolf calling to everyone!?" Blake exclaimed as he paced nervously

"We will know by tomorrow." I tried to reassure him

His pacing continued, the large print in his pants juxtaposing the worried expression on his face,

Luckily the house held up even after Dylan's multiple attempts to break in during food deliveries, it took 3 males to pull him free after he got his arm stuck in the tiny mail slot in the door and he wasn't the only one even Myu was caught sniffing around the house.

"It's only getting worse some of the males refuse to shift back and their howling is becoming grating, and what of Kiari the bath should have washed away at least some of her scent." mumbled, Blake

"More like she wants to draw her mate out, she probably knows he's in this pack."

Another piercing howl filled the air as more wolves gathered by Kiari's door, none of them even tried to hide their arousal

It was the sixth day and as my heat deepened, my vulva now spasmed at the slightest touch, even the ice from the bath melted at my touch.

My wolf eagerly awaited the arrival of her mate giving small yaps at the thought of being taken,

But she just ignored me as she howled, yapped, and growled within my head, calling out to her mates

Grey's pacing stopped and still, he could hear howls. But not from his pack

"Kiari!" He and Blake said at the same time, they gave each other knowing looks

Hell, I thought I was crazy but now I know I am

Soon the link connected to everyone and the primal wolves froze

We know it's been difficult but you must return home

Angry voices began to let themselves be known

The wolves backed off at the title Luna and as the sun set Blake began to use his powers

His calm aura swept through the area and wolves retreated, some passing out right then and there

"This will only hold them for 5 hours, once we solidify our bond she will be a member of our pack," said Grey

"And if she gets pregnant?" Blake asked still unsure

"We restrain ourselves and seed her skin. She is the balance our pack needs and we will do anything to protect her." Grey replied

The howls had stopped.

"Blake must've used his powers again."

Kiari heard the door of the library break open and shivered at the masculine growling coming from the wolves that did it. The moon swelled as Kiari freed her door, no longer able to curb her base urges
