"Great first day, huh?" I jumped at the sudden voice and slowly the sound around me from the other students faded. "Wow, you don't need to get jumpy, I was just asking a question." It said. "Who are you, and where are you? Just leave me alone!" I screamed to myself.

"Oh trust me sweetheart, I am not here to hurt you, I just wanna talk. HA!HA!HA!"

"Leave. Me. Alone! Now's not the time for games! I just want to try and have a more relaxing day today. So go away!"

"Oh you don't have to get your tail tied up, just listen. 'Kay?"

"Fine what do you want!?"

"I want to be free. I was so close to escaping before that old hag found me and gave me to you!"

"What do you mean? I didn't get anything annoying like you from an old hag!"

"Hey! You better watch that mouth of yours! You never know what kind of trouble it can get you in around these parts. Ha!"

"Now is not a good time for the demons in my head to be talking, so shut up until the end of the day! Got it?"

"What makes you think I'm a demon! Wow you're rude! What did I tell you about that mouth of yo-"

"Oh just shut up! No one gives a darn about what you've got to say!"

"Ha! Fine I'll shut up!"

"Good...."

"But I won't guarantee it."

"UGHHH!"

Paxton tapped my shoulder; trying to pull me back to reality. "Wiwy, come on. Move!" He shook me violently. "Wiwy!" I snapped back and looked at him crossly. "What!" He motioned his eyes toward the classroom and said through closed teeth, "We need to take our seats." I looked to where he was motioning and saw multiple eyes staring at me. Some people laughed, others rolled their eyes, most looked terrified, one whispered to her friend quickly, and a popular group in the back sat back in their chairs and snorted at us in disgust and joy. "Idiots...." I murmured. "Huh?" "Nothing."

Paxton pulled me to the back, five desks away from the stuck ups who kept watching us eagerly. "Are you okay Wiwy?" Paxton stared at me sympathetically. "Why do you ask?" He looked puzzled at my question. "Because your eyes turned red and you started to cry, plus you were screaming." I froze and looked at him. "No I wasn't!" I hissed, "I was just...." I paused, "Oh never mind." I flicked my hair out of my eyes and fixed myself in the direction of the board. Class seemed to drag on forever, just boring noise drowned on from the lazy, loudmouthed teacher in the front.

"Wolf!" I jumped at the sudden sound of my name. "How do you know if you are becoming nocturnal?" He asked suspiciously. "What?" "How do you know if you are becoming nocturnal? Because you seem to be very good at it." He said again. "I uhhh..... I don't know sir..." I mumbled and looked down at my feet. "Well hear's a kid that could use a little more sleep or should just start paying attention in class!" He screamed and went back to working. I looked down at my hands that were rested on top of my lap. Bandages covered most of my hand; I balled my hands into fists and tears started to form in my eyes. "Don't worry Master! I am here for you!" Coda whispered and he rested his head in my lap. "Yeah don't worry missssss...." Viper hissed as she slithered tighter around Paxton's neck, chocking him a little. "Viper!" Paxton whispered angrily, loosening Viper, keeping her from accidentally killing him. "Sorry misssster....." She hissed again. "Yeah don't worry about Wiwy. You have friends here that care about you, don't let a butt teacher ruin your day!" Paxton smiled and hugged me.

The bell rung loudly, echoing through out the school. I yawned sleepily, and shook Paxton awake. "Come on idiot! Time for lunch!" I said loudly next to his ear. "Wha...." Paxton said groggily, tiredly looking around the room. "Come on!" I said and pulled him up by the collar. "Lets go! What's for lunch?" I pulled him out of our forth period class and down one of the many flights of stairs. Coda bounced after us, Viper hanging on to Coda's collar for dear life. "Dumb mutt. Quit jumping!" She hissed angrily, threatening Coda with her long, sharp, gleaming fangs. "If you don't ssssslow down, I'll make ssssure you die a sssslow painful death." She hissed. I pulled Paxton down to the first floor, which held the cafeteria. "Pax what's for lunch?" I yawned again. "What did you just call me?" He asked. I looked around at him. A confused but delighted look was plastered on his face. "I called you Pax. Why?" He blushed and dug his foot into the ground, looking down embarrassingly. "Cause I thought it was, umm, cute?" He said it more like a question. "Well okay, I just thought because you had a nickname for me that I should have a nickname for you." I replied with a smile. He laughed and ran in front of me, pulling me this time. "Come on Wiwy! We're gonna be late because of you!" "Hey! It was you that stopped me." Is laughed.
