An email after a whole year and a half of silence.
It wasn't even a remorseful email.
Vaguely polite.
I slammed the cover protected cell phone down on the counter.
"Why that bastard," I thought to myself.
He literally tore out my heart and now he wants to send his sympathies.
My heart skipped a beat as I picked up the phone to reluctantly reply.
My fingers were deft as my mind took over and jibed with my increased pulse.
"It's just a reply." I chided myself.
I will not think about our last time together.
San Antonio- the sex was as heated as the air.
A shiver ran down my spine as I thought of how his lips touched the back of my neck.
I shook my head back and forth as to ward off the memories.
"No. Just a simple reply." I muttered to myself as I exhaled my next unwanted memory.
I jumped at the jiggle of the phone notifying me of his reply back.
