I smile down at the little baby boy I cradle in my arms. He looks at me with big, shining blue eyes. Zianna told me he looks just like me, but I don't see it.

I can't believe he's actually here. He was born a week and a half late. We obviously knew he was coming but, it was painful to wait. Its like being a child and waiting to go to an amusement park. You're anxious and can't wait.

I stroke his red, rosy cheek. He slowly closes his eyes and goes to sleep. I keep holding at him, staring at him. He's perfect, everything about him. I kiss his forehead and keep smiling at him.

"He really is amazing, huh?" I hear Zianna ask. I look up at her trying not to be too startled.

"Honey it's late, you should get some sleep." I say.

"So should you, G." She softly speaks and smiles at us.

"I'll stay up with him." I smile back and walk over to her. "You just had a baby. You need some sleep."

"You haven't slept for 48 hours because you were at work." Zianna says. "Let me hold him."

She puts her arms out. I gently hand her the small newborn and turn my head towards her. She smiles down at the baby and gently rocks him. He yawns. I turn my head towards Zianna.

"He needs a name, doesn't he?" I ask.

"I think he does," she says, still smiling at him and not looking back up at me.

"Well what should we name him?" I ask, pausing for a moment. "Zane?"

"No, he doesn't look like a Zane." She says and turns to me. "Tobias?"

That name sends chills through me. Tobias Ro'Meave, the father that sacrificed his life for me in war, years ago. One of the only good blood relatives I have left. I shake my head quickly, he can't have that name. I can't look at my son and remember the guilt I have because my father sacrificed himself for me.

"N-No, he can't." I stammer.

"Okay, okay." She puts a hand on my arm and looks at me with sad eyes. "I'm sorry."

"I-It's fine." I say stuttering once again.

"Garroth. That's his name." Zianna says, smiling softly at both of us.

I pause for a minute. Named after me? I feel heat slowly rise to my cheeks. Zianna giggles.

God, I love her so much.

"Garroth Joel Ro'Meave. Thats his name." She says, smiling at me this time.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

"I wouldn't have said it if I wasn't sure." She says. We both look at Garroth.

He opens his blue eyes and looks curiously at both of us. His small cap begins to slip in front of his eyes. I push it back, revealing even more of what was already perfect. He keeps looking at me, and gives a tiny smile.

"Look at that smile. You're a happy little boy, huh?" I say, stroking his cheek once again.

Zianna hands Garroth back to me. I slowly take him and keep staring at all of his features. The more I look, I see myself in him. Tears begin to form in my eyes. I wipe them away and look back up at Zianna.

Her eyes are closed, her hair is slightly messy. I walk up to her and put my hand on her cheek. When she doesn't wake up, I kiss her head. I step back and sit down once again in the hospital chair. It's surprisingly comfortable.

I look back down at Garroth once again, still amazed that he's here.

"I'll protect you from everything, little man. I promise."
