Goode High and Forward

Annabeth POV

"Ready?" He asked me.

I took a deep breath and he squeezed my hand. I nodded and looked at him.
"Perce, I've defeated Arachne, made it through Tartarus, and I defeated Gaea. All with you by my side. I can handle high school." I gave him a reassuring smile.

I wasn't scared.

I was petrified.

I mean, yeah, I'm 17 now, almost a legal adult or whatever, but there's always something scary about a new high school. But I'll be fine. I'm Annabeth Chase. Nothing fazes me.

Paul pulled some strings and got Percy and I to have the same classes. Except for our 7th hour, he had a special class for those aspiring to be teachers, and I had and advanced architecture course.

I let him pull me to the office, where he plopped down in one of the chairs while I talked to the secretary. She handed me my schedule and walked me through teachers. She gave me a slip to get signed by all my teachers and a map of the school. Then, she asked me if I needed a guide for the day. Percy stood up and snaked an arm around my waist.

"I got this" he said. The secretary nodded and Percy pulled me out into the commons. I looked up at him. Since we were kids, he had grown. A lot. He now towered over me by 11 inches, at 6'1. He smiled down at me.

"Are you gonna be okay?" He asked, looking concerned at me.

"Yes, I'm fine. I have this" I tapped my side, where my hip sheath for my knife was. He rolled his eyes.

"C'mon, let's go to homeroom" he smiled and pulled me along.

At lunch I grabbed my bag from my locker and sat with him. A girl was trying to flirt with him and he was obviously relieved when I walked to him and she backed off.

"Her names Rachel. She's been trying to get me forever. Thank you" he whispered in my ear and kissed my cheek.

I glared at the girl and his arm tightened around my waist. He whispered in my ear. "Relax, Wise Girl" and I did.

I walked into my architecture class and see a classroom with 11 guys and a half-asleep teacher. Mr. Brooks told me to sit next to a brown haired-blue eyed guy who checked me out and grinned like he was all that. I glared at his attempts to flirt and scowled when the instructor informed is this would be our seating arrangement for the whole year. I worked on my blueprints of our bedrooms that was the assignment for the week. Successfully ignoring the male specimen next to me.

After class, Percy carried my bag and his as I took my things to the office. Percy piled my things and his in my car and we headed to the apartment.

Our apartment was seriously cool. It was a four-bedroom style apartment with a big living room and a stocked kitchen. We shared with Thalia and Nico, who would start at Goode next week. Thalia and I had a bathroom that joined both of our rooms, with two sinks and one shower. The boys had the same arrangement across the hall.

Percy unlocked the door and set our stuff down. He plopped on the couch and I sat next to him. He smiled and pulled me into his lap, brushing a strand of my hair away and giving me a lopsided grin.

"Do I get a kiss Wise Girl?" He made that adorable baby seal face.

I grinned and pecked his lips before bouncing to my feet and smirking.

"I don't think so!!" He grabbed me around the waist and pulled me in for a long sweet kiss. I didn't even hear the door open.

"Ugh!! No PDA, please!!"

"I agree with Thals, get a room!!"

Our best friends and roomates were here.
