Chapter 1

Arianna' s P.O.V

My alarm blasts the familiar marimba tone i hear too often. I yawn as my eyes adjust.

Today is the day. The day where my dreams may or may not come true. Today I'm going to audition for the x factor. The song I'm going to be singing is The One That Got Away by Katy Perry. 

I jump out of bed and i take a quick shower singing the song and testing my voice praying I won't mess up in front of the judges.

After I get out of the shower I put on a pair of blue jeans and a galaxy crew neck. I run down the steps after I apply some mascara and comb my hair. When I walk into the kitchen my mother is cooking pancakes. "You look beautiful darling I made your favorite today is a big day for you"she says as she hands me a plate of pancakes with strawberries. "Thank you mom". I finish eating and look at the time 7:00 am. I am supposed to be there by 8. I give my mom a quick kiss on the cheek "bye mom I love you" I tell her "good luck I love you too call me when you get there and after your audition I want to know how you do"she tells me as I grab my purse and phone.

I rush to my car and get on the high way. I sing just about the whole way there warming up my vocals.

As soon as I get there I step in line. The line is huge. The person standing in front of me gives me a smile "crazy isn't it" he say "Yea"I breath "louis tomlinson" he says and holds his hand out "Arianna Evans" I say and shake his hand. As we wait in line we keep talking to each other and I'm starting to warm up to him he is really nice. We talk about what kind of music we like and what song we are going to sing and where we came from and things like that.

The line finally starts to move as we start to move into the building we exchange numbers. "It has been really nice talking to you and I wish you good luck" I say to him.

"You too, text me after your audition" he says. I hug him and my eyes start to water, " I just feel like we have become great friends through the past couple of hours we have spent together and I might not ever see you again" I say.

"Hey don't cry youll do great and whatever happens I promise I will stay in touch with you" he assures me. I smile up at him and hug him tighter. "Text me " he yells as we both go our separate ways. I am moved into a smaller room and I get in line again. After I get my number I sit down and wait for my number to be called. As I sit there and wait knowing it will be a while i decide to text louis

To louis: Hey it's me Arianna I just wanted to say good luck at again

From louis: You too I really hope you make it through your really good I hope you know that

His text makes me blush a little

To louis: Thank you, you too

From louis: Well hopefully I'll see you later I need to go now bye good luck ...again

To louis: Bye good luck text me

After I send the message I sit and wait again talking to other people around me. My number gets called minutes later and I am much nervous then before. As I walk in to the room I see the judges. 

"Hello what's your name?" Simon asked me

 " Arianna Evans" l say nervously

 "alright and what will you be singing for us today?" He asks 

"The One That Got Away" 

"whenever you're ready" he says

I build up as much confidence as I can and start to sing my heart out hoping to impress the

As I finish the last note of the song I look at the judges. "That was amazing", Simon says. The other judges basically say the same thing.

This is my dream we are talking about.I've been dreaming of this my entire life. "I think you could have the x-factor Arianna I say yes" Simon says.

I call my mom and tell her what happend and that I'll be home soon to pack my stuff. I then text Louis.

To louis: Hey louis I made it :D how 'bout you?

From louis: Really that's great I did too! :)

To louis: Yay! I'm so happy both of us made it through

From louis: Yea me too

To louis: I should go pack see you soon!!!

Me and Louis both made it pretty far into the competition. Louis was put into a group called "One Direction". I got in 6th place in the competition and Louis and his group made third. I haven't talked to Louis since the day I was cut off of the show. After the show was over he ran over to me and I cried in his arms. Then he helped me pack my things and that was the last Time I saw him.

2 YEARS LATER

I wake up from my alarm as it blasts the same familiar marimba tone i hear too often.

 Time to get ready for work. I work at a restaurant as a waitress. I get out of bed and take a quick shower. I pull on my uniform and apply lipstick and mascara. I rush out the door and head to work.on my way to work I see 5 guys on a billboard. One with curly hair, harry? another with blonde hair, Niall? and one with light brown hair, Liam?one with black hair, zayn? and the last one really catches my eye. OH MY GOD ITS LOUIS. They were my five best friends i used hang out with on the x-factor. Niall, Harry, Liam, Zayn, and most of all, Louis.

"Hey what's up?" My friend Alex says to me as I walk through the door. "Nothin" I say not really in the mood to talk. "Ok well you should go and clean up people will start coming soon" she tells me.I rush to the back and put on my apron and grab a pad and pen for taking orders. As I walk out a couple of people walk through the door. "I got this one" I say to Alex. I take their orders and report back to the kitchen.

As the morning drags on 6 people walk through the door and it just so happens to be One Direction, but they have some girl with blonde hair with them. I walk to their table not making eye contact with any of them. I notice that louis has his arms wrapped around th blonde girl. "Hello I'm at Arianna I will be taking care of you guys this morning can I get you guys anything to drink" I say as i look up at them. Louis gasps "Arianna is that really you, Arianna Evans" louis says. I feel my eyes water. He remembers me.
