Achilles:
It's been weeks since Helen and I became friends again, and now it was the night of Prom. Helen and I aren't exactly each other dates because I felt that we should take things slow, instead we're going as a group with Glinda and Ismene. And who knows, maybe something good will happen at Prom. I was suppose to pick up the girls when it was time, so until then, I got myself dressed into my tux as I make my way downstairs and into the living room where my mother gasped when she saw me.
"Look at you" she smiled as she went up to me "So handsome in that tux."
I just gave a small smile and a slight shrug.
"Oh my boy is all grown up" she smiled "I'm so proud of you."
"It's just Prom."
"Yeah, so make it the best night ever."
After saying goodbye to my mom, I went to pick up Glinda and Ismene as we then made it to Helen's house.
"Look at all of you" Amy smiled with her camera in her hands "So fancy."
"Where's Helen?" Ismene asked.
"Oh I think she's still getting ready" Helen's dad said.
"Helen!" Glinda called "Get your ass down here!"
"Shut up Glinda!" Helen called back "I'm almost done!"
"So Achilles" her dad said to me "Is it fixed yet?"
"Yep" I smiled "I'm giving it to her during Prom."
"What?" the girls said.
"Oh I just have a little surprise for Helen, I don't want to spoil anything."
Pretty soon we heard footsteps coming down the stairs, and as we looked up, there was Helen all dressed up in her short black and white prom dress from the boutique in the mall. As soon as I saw her, it was like time slowed down, she was, stunning. Her hair had been curled and was hanging behind her, her dress was really showing off her curves, and her eyes popped from her dark dress. I couldn't take my eyes off of her, she was so beautiful. But then again she's beautiful to me no matter what she looks like.
"Oh my God look at you!" Glinda squealed as Helen gave a small laugh "You look so beautiful!"
"Man Achilles was right" Ismene said with amusement "That dress really does make your eyes pop."
At that point Helen turned to me with a smile as I smiled back.
"All of those people who called you ugly before we wrong" Glinda added "I mean look at you, you look like you belong in a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show."
"Glinda" Helen giggled.
"Alright everyone let's get a picture" Amy said as we all huddled together.
After taking the picture, we all headed out to Prom. When we made it to our school, I parked my car as we entered the decorated gym. Everyone was already on the dance floor with the loud music playing from the DJ who was on the stage. They were all having a good time dancing and talking, they were really making the best of tonight.
"Now this, is a dance" Glinda smiled as she admired the place.
"So this is what Prom is like" Helen said as she looked around.
"So uh, what do we do?" I asked.
So we're at Prom now, and I have no idea what we should be doing.
"I don't about you guys" Ismene said "But I'm gonna scoop out the snacks."
She then went away leaving me and Helen alone, well this just got awkward.
"Achilles" Helen suddenly said while looking through the crowd "Look."
I tried to see where she was looking, and there standing in the corner was Simon, and he seemed to be looking at something. I turned to what he was looking at, and there sitting on the bleachers alone was Belle.
"Oh..." I said as a smile spread across my face "You thinking what I'm thinking?"
"You get Simon I'll get Belle" Helen smiled as we went our separate ways.
"Hey Simon" I said as I headed to him.
"Oh, hey Achilles" he said awkwardly.
"So you actually made it huh?"
"Yeah" he shrugged "Even though I had no one to go with."
He then took out his inhaler and inhaled it with a deep breath. Man, it was suck having to do that everyday.
"Well uh, I couldn't help but notice you were looking at Belle over there" I turned to Belle who was now talking to Helen.
"I uh, I wasn't looking at her" he quickly said.
"You're a really bad lair you know that?"
He then gave a sigh.
"Alright fine" he confessed "I just saw her sitting over there alone and I kinda wanna talk to her, but I've never talked to a girl before."
"It's okay, I know it's hard at first, but girls are people too."
"I- I don't know" he said as he rubbed the back of his head nervously.
"Okay come on" I put my hand behind his back and led him towards Belle and Helen "Helen."
"Oh hi Achilles" she smiled "I was just talking to Belle."
"Hi Belle" I smiled at her.
"Hi" she said shyly.
"Well I was just talking to Simon here" I put in and I turned to Belle "And he wanted to talk to you."
"What?" Simon said a bit surprised.
"Yeah" I ignored him "He wanted to talk to you about that new 'Harry Potter' book, right Simon?"
"Uh... yeah."
"You like 'Harry Potter'?" Belle said to him surprised.
"Well, yeah, but I've never seen the movies."
"Have the read the books?"
"Some of them."
"Okay this is great so far" I said as I made Simon sit next to Belle "Now you two talk some more and enjoy each others company."
And with that Helen and walked away.
"You think we did a good job?" she asked.
"I'm sure we did" I assured.
We then turned around to see that Simon and Belle were still talking to each other.
"Yep" I smiled "We totally did a good job."
"Alright" she smiled "Well I'm gonna go to the restroom, I'll be back."
"Okay" I said as she went away.
Well everything seems to be going good so far, but hopefully it'll get even better once I give Helen her surprise. But just when I thought things were going well, I turned to the entrance and saw Randy enter.
