The sounds of the wind blowing through the autumn trees was heard in the park. Where a young boy with brown hair and honey eyes played around the playground with his friends. The boy heard someone crying from other side of the park and stopped playing. The boy followed the crying and soon heard laughing and saw some boy picking on a girl. "Hey stop picking on her" the boy yelled at the bully. The bully stopped laughing and turned to look at the boy. The boy noticed how tall the bully is and gulped from nervousness. The bully smirked at him, "And what might you do about" he grabbed the girl by her black hair, which made her yelp and tic from pain, and faced her in front of the boy. The boy looked angry from what he was doing to poor girl. "Why are you doing this to her?!" The boy yelled at the bully, who just chuckled and answered, "Because It is a ticking freak and it getting what all freaks deserves." The boy noticed that she was twitching at the abnormal places, but still didn't care because she still a human and doesn't deserves this pain. The boy glared at the laughing bully and ran towards him full speed and hit him in stomach, catching the bully off guard and knocking the wind out him and letting go of the girl. The bully fell to floor in pain while the boy picked up the girl bridal style and ran away fast to an empty bench near his mother. His mother noticed him carrying the girl and called out to him asking if he was alright but he responding back with 'I'm fine'. The boy set the girl down on the bench and looked in her forest green eyes and asked "Are you alright, is somewhere hurting?" The girl blushed and twitched and looked away with a quiet 'I'm fine, thank you'. The boy sighed in relief and smiled and grabbed the girl's chin to make her face him. "Why was he bulling you?" the boy asked with concern in his eyes. The girl twitched and glanced somewhere else. "Because of my Tourette's, he thought it was weird and stupid and start picking on me. He saw me as a freak, like everyone else, and honestly, I'm started to think that too." The girl frowned and looked back at the boy, with teary eyes. The boy frown sadly and shook his head, "You're not a freak and don't ever think that!" the boy grabbed her hands in his. "We all have our flaws, like my mom told me; our flaws make us who we are and," The boy hugged the girl, causing her to tense, then relax and hugged back, "Your flaw makes you beautiful." The girl's eyes widened and tears filled her eyes and fell down her cheeks, no one ever called her beautiful or anything positive before, she felt so happy. The boy pulled apart from her and looked at her surprised by her tears and started wipe them away, "I'm sorry did I say something wrong, I'm sorry." The boy panicked but the girl giggled and shook her head. "It's fine it's just that you're the first person who is actually nice to me and that made me happy." The girl smiled making boy blush and chuckle nervously, "Oh well what's your name?" The boy asked, "Tina" she responded. "Tina, that's a pretty name, my name is Peter, let's be friends." Peter stretched out his hand to Tina to shake. Tina looked at his hand and shook with a smile, "Sure, Peter" She twitched and Peter pulled her to the playground to play. What they didn't know that his mother watched the whole thing and smiled at the two. "Just like his father." She muttered and continued watching them play.
During those years of them being together, Tina never thought of herself as a freak ever again, because she someone to prove her wrong. Tina thought back when she and Peter first met, and smiled. They have been together for years and there they were, sitting at the same park bench they became friends in. She looked at her best-friend, who was looking up at the sky. "Peter?" The said boy looked at her. "Yeah Tina?" Tina kissed his cheek, making him blush red. "I love you." Peter looked at her with a shocked face, before growing the biggest smiled he ever made and hugged her. "I love you too, Tina." Tina hugged back and smiled. Thank you flaws, you brought me happiness.
